Your wedding day may be the day you cease to be engaged, but it’s the one day you want all of your guests to be! Engaged guests will have a much better time on your big day. They won’t scroll on their phones all night long, keep the dancefloor empty, or provide lacklustre encouragement during the speeches. At the end of the day, you want to feel like all of that planning (and probably all of that money) was worth it. If you want to keep your guests engaged on your wedding day, read on for some advice.
1.Provide Food Throughout The Day
Guests love food, and they’ll especially love food throughout the day. Some people provide small canapes before the ceremony, a meal afterwards, and then a few surprise snacks later on at night. For instance, mini fish and chips could be a huge hit for those who may still be hungry.
2. Pick The Finest Wedding Entertainment
Wedding entertainment can be a tough choice – after all, you have many people to please, and you’re probably not going to be able to keep everybody happy. That being said, selecting one of the wedding bands with the best reviews should be a good choice. You could even go all out, selecting magicians, stilt walkers, and anybody else you think would look at home on your wedding day. It’s your day, so don’t feel like you have to stick to lacklustre entertainment.

3. Fill In The Gaps
If there are going to be gaps in the day and you’re worried that people will get bored, figure out how you can fill in those gaps. For instance, you could provide portrait artists to go around while people are waiting for food. This will not only be a lot of fun, it’ll give people a good souvenir to take home with them. Table magicians could also be a good way to fill in the gaps. Make sure there’s no possibility of people becoming bored and listless on your big day.
4.Get Them Involved
Making sure you actually get your guests involved can make a big difference. Ask everybody to suggest a song beforehand so you have a varied playlist that will please most people – you can ask them to write their choice down on their RSVP cards and then give these cards to the DJ.
You can also have a virtual guestbook and ask people to leave a message for you, or even a photobooth with props.
5. Ensure They Are Comfortable All Day And Night
Comfort is so important. Weddings can go on for hours and hours – depending on your culture, they can go on for days. If you want your guests to stay with you, you’re going to need to make sure they have enough to eat, enough to drink, and comfortable seating. You may even want to provide favors like slippers or comfortable shoes for those who may want to slip off their uncomfortable shoes.
