I was sent a Degustabox for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Don’t forget you can get your first box for just £7.99 including shipping with the code WDGX9 which gets you a £5 discount on the £12.99 price! Buy it here.
This months theme is UK vs International. So what items did we get in our box?
PEPPADEW Sweet Piquanté Peppers Mild Chopped – £3
Steve was very happy to see these in the box. He loves these and didn’t wait long before dipping into the jar. The box included a fabulous recipe for a pizza using these peppers so we will definitely be giving the recipe a try. These peppers are sweet and mildly spicy, firm and crunchy and perfect for this sunny weather we have been having.
Very Lazy Lemongrass Paste & Very Lazy Ginger Paste – £1.85 each
We love Very Lazy products in our house (I’ve mentioned this before) and these are definitely worthy additions to our pantry. Degustabox actually shared a recipe for a lemongrass cocktail so when Steve is getting the essentials we need mid week, he will be picking up the ingredients for that too – it sounds like a perfect refreshing cocktail for summer. These have plenty of delicious flavour.
Percy’s Caramel Chocolate Shortbread Sticks – £3
These are absolutely delicious. They are melt in the mouth and full of tasty flavour. The perfect chocolatey treat. I may have hid them from the kids so I can enjoy them myself!
Terry’s Chocolate Orange Minis Popping Candy (the Easter Egg with the candy retails at £4)
We love Terry’s Chocolate Orange and we love it with popping candy even more. We have already had a bag between us watching a film the other night, oops! They were sooo good!
Brynmor Flapjack (Caramel Fudge/Apple & Raspberry) – £1.29 each
We adore flapjacks in our house so these were always going to go down a treat. They are both totally delicious and I love that they are gluten free and a source of fibre. Nutritious and delicious, what more could you like?
Tilda Peri Peri Microwave Rice – £1.59
We always have pouches of microwave rice in the cupboard for when we need rice quickly and this peri peri rice sounds absolutely delicious. We haven’t used it yet as we haven’t quite found the right dish to pair it with.
Growers Garden fresh broccoli crisps – £1.99
I am quite lucky in that my kids seem to love vegetable crisps just as much as they love normal crisps. These went down a right treat – crisps made from broccoli and grown on their own farm where they take the wonky veg and turn it into delicious crisps.
SXOLLIE Cider Cripps Pink – £1.90
These ciders are made exclusively from apples you know and love such as the Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and this particular ciders case, the Pink lady. This is light and delicious, vegan and gluten free and Steve really enjoyed this, he’s hoping to pick up some more in the future. His brother also tried it but wasn’t as keen.
Remedy Kombucha Raspberry Lemonade / Cherry Plum – £1.85 each
I was intrigued by the flavours of these but was a bit wary of trying them, having heard of others past experiences with kombucha. Steve, his brother and I all braved them but unfortunately we did not like them at all and definitely won’t be repurchasing. A healthy soft drink, made by naturally fermenting sweet tea with a live culture. Not for us, unfortunately.
Overall we were quite impressed by the box. As always, there were some products we adored and some we didn’t like. We have two new tasty sounding recipes to try and look forward to using some of the products more in the future. This box comes in at just over £20 – which is a great saving considering you are paying £12.99 (maybe even £7.99 if it is your first box!). Definitely a worthwhile purchase.
What would be your favourite item from this particular box?

Now this looks like a great box I could definitely tuck into some of those terry’s chocolate orange bits and the Flapjack and Shortbread sticks sound delicious too!
Looks like you have some good items in this one. I’d like to try those two drinks as they sound great
Some fantastic items in the Degusta Box! I have tried the Very Lazy paste and totally love both the ginger and garlic and the Terry Chocolates are my children’s favourite to. Lots of of yummy bits in there which I know I will love.
You had me at chocolate orange! That cider looks great too. I am also a fan of Tilda ready made rice, so easy to use
Looks like a good one would love the pastes and the chocolate orange
You can’t beat some Terrys chocolate orange. I use the so lazy ginger and garlic so much in our cooking and we love them. Seems like a good months box x
There’s some smashing items in the box! Those mini chocolate oranges look amazing 🙂
Some great products here as usual. Your products are completely different to the ones I received! None of them lasted long 🙂
Great items in this box, especially the chocolate orange.
I would be interested to try the broccoli crisps the most I think, they sound interesting. I am not sure a box like this would work for us as we have some fussy eaters and are also trying to go vegan (making life more difficult for the shopper and cook). It would be great for someone who loves to try new flavours as it is a good saving.
This is a really good box! I’ve never subscribed to a food box but now is as good a time as ever, really.
We got this box and I really loved the flapjacks and the Caramel shortbread sticks. The kids love the popping candy chocolate orange bites
This looks so good! The Peri Peri rice sounds delicious and I love the sound of Very Lazy Lemongrass Paste & Very Lazy Ginger Paste – I have been cooking a lot more with ginger lately so something like this would be really useful in my cupboard x
Fab box! I always thing boxes like this are such a great way to find and try new products. I love the sound of the shortbread and the chocolate orange minis!
Ooo now this looks good. Love the look of the crisps and also the peri peri flavoured rice to I may have to think about buying one of these boxes xx
I like the idea of trying new products and the excellent variety in monthly Degustabox deliveries but the children are not quite as adventurous.
