Geomag Nasa Rover & Nasa Rocket | Review & Giveaway

We were sent these products for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

What kids doesn’t love space and doesn’t love putting things together? These Geomag products sure combine the two for make a fun and easy time. Magnetic construction sets, these are something a little different for children aged 5 and over to have fun with.

I’ve mentioned time and time again that Jack is space obsessed and we were recently sent the Geomag Nasa Rover and the Nasa Rocket to review. These are both available on The Entertainer’s website, the Nasa Rover is £25 and the Nasa Rocket is £39.99.

We started with the Nasa Rover, a 52 piece special edition set which has been endorsed by NASA and is a celebration of the first manned lunar landing.

The set comes with 12 bars, 12 ball bearings, 6 triangles, 3 squares, 4 clear plastic outer tubes, 4 red plastic inner tubes, 8 black bands and 3 cardboard cut out items.

What I loved at first look was the fact that the box detailed exactly what items were in the box and how to put it together. I don’t know about you but my kids will store items back in the box to rebuild usually but the paper instruction booklet then gets lost so it is a lot of guesswork trying to put it back together. With this actually being ON the box, we can guarantee we’ll always know how to rebuild it!

Helping children to develop their fine motor skills and enhance their creativity, Jack and I had great fun putting the Rover together. It could be a little fiddly in parts so it is best to have an adult to help you – especially when the magnetic parts kept attaching to each other when you were trying to fit something else together.

With perseverance however,we managed to get it together and looking great! Sturdy and able to be wheeled around, Jack had great fun playing with it after building.

The Geomag NASA rocket again helps with their creativity and fine motor skills and comes with more pieces than the Rover.

This set comes with 30 bars, 18 balls, 10 triangles, 8 squares and various cardboard cutouts. This was again quite fiddly to put together and Jack required my help. We did have to rebuild a couple of times when it just didn’t want to go our way but it didn’t take too long to achieve the finished result.

Jack had great fun constructing this and is planning to have it pride of place in his bedroom. It isn’t as sturdy as the Rover though so we will be laying it on its side.

I am very impressed with both of the products. Not only do they help children develop upon their skills but the sets are good quality and very affordable too. I’d definitely consider getting some more Geomag sets for Jack for his birthday or for Christmas.

How would you like the chance to win both sets for yourself? Well, you can have that chance by filling in the Rafflecopter widget below. This giveaway is UK only and ends at 11.59pm on the 31st of October. Good luck!
