As you can see, I have an immense amount of pictures to share with you all from yesterdays venture into London for TOWIB! I had to suffer an early morning to get the train on time, which I caught with the lovely Lisa and Louise, both Beds bloggers that I’ve been planning to meet for some time! We got into St. Pancras and caught the tube to Piccadilly Circus where we met the lovely Kirstie who had travelled all the way from near Liverpool to attend the event – dedication right there!
We managed to get there extremely early so we grabbed a bite to eat in Pret A Manger before heading back to Tiger Tiger where the event was being held. The first talk was held by Dr. Linda Papadoulos who was talking about body confidence – her talk was interesting, especially about the ideals of what women are made to feel they should look like. We then went to our first workshop, we chose to listen to Scott Cornwall talk about his new range (website here) Shine On, Colour Restore and Decolour. We then chose to listen to the brilliant Jamie London Boy about photography – if you have never looked at his blog, you definitely should – his photography is out of this world! Kirstie and Lisa were especially excited to meet him!
It was then time for lunch, where we first went to check out the small brands market – I was especially impressed by China Doll Boutique and Street Princess. I bought a ring from Street Princess, which I will be showing you in the near future and I lusted over the clothes at China Doll Boutique, however I didn’t have much money and still had to get lunch!
For lunch, we went downstairs to Tiger Tiger’s restaurant where we cheekily ordered a pitcher of WooWoo and some food. Our food didn’t come out until about five minutes before we were due back, so we were a little late arriving to the Making A Career Out Of Blogging talk, however we caught up quite quickly.
It was then time for the next two workshops; we chose Product Claims and the Beauty Mouth clinic. We never went to the clinic in the end as everyone was happy in their first workshops. However, my favourite part of the day was still to come – the Q&A with Hayley from London Beauty Queen, Jayne from Jayne’s Kitschen and the hilarious Caroline from Beauty Mouth. They answered any and every question that came flying their way, and constantly made the audience crack up with their responses, especially Caroline! All the above blogs are definitely worth checking out!
I loved the event, I’m definitely up for going again!
On the way home, we decided to quickly pop in to M&M World where we met a very enthusiastic, if slightly barmy member of staff who insisted on taking pictures of us and generally being a bit strange! I would have bought something but the prices were extortionate and the queues were huge!
I got home to some lovely cuddles from Jack and then collapsed into bed with a headache – all in a days work!
Did you go to TOWIB? What were your thoughts on the day?

TOWIB events look like so much fun! I'm dying to go to one! It'd take a lot of organising for me though as I live a long way from London and haven't really got any blogger acquaintances to go with as yet!
