5 Reasons You Should Get A Massage

This is a collaborative post.

I don’t know about you but nothing beats a massage, whether you’re in pain or a little bit stressed. There is something about a massage that just relieves all that tension and ache and leaves you feeling as good as new. I love a massage and wanted to share with you five reasons why you should get a massage – including both health benefits and for self care reasons – all valid reasons for wanting or needing a massage.

I know people who get massages on a regular basis for specific reasons whilst I also know others who get one on the odd occasion when they feel they need one. Whichever type of person you may be, I’m sure you can identify with one of the reasons below for needing one – which one is most like you?

Do you get them often? For what reasons do you have them and how regularly do you have a massage?

Relieve Stress and Help You To Relax

One of the most popular reasons for having a massage is to relieve you of the stress you are going through and help you to relax. There is nothing worse than feeling all tense and knotted up because of daily stressors especially when those circumstances are completely out of your control. A massage, perhaps from Mobile Massage Booking, should do the trick – they come to your home or offices if you are in Greater London or the surrounding area and offer a variety of massages including a hot stone massage. This could be just what you need to wash all those worries away.

Reduce or Relieve Pain

Medical research has proven that regular massages can reduce or even help eliminate tension headaches. Massages also help with joint pain and sometimes medical professionals even suggest that those suffering from joint pain get regular massages to help soothe some of their symptoms.

Boost Your Energy

Did you know massages can help you boost your energy too? If you are feeling drained by the end of your working day or working week, then a massage may be just what you need to boost those energy levels and have you feeling human again.

Increase Your Blood Circulation

Increasing your blood circulation is just one of the many health benefits massages have to offer. If you have a condition that slows down your circulation, then a massage may be essential to leading a healthy life due to the benefits it gives you.

To Treat Yourself

As well as having many health benefits, it is important to note that another great reason to have a massage is purely to treat yourself. Relieving stress or pain or even getting to relax is great but sometimes a massage is great just because, especially when someone else is doing the work for you. A massage can make you feel on top of the world and make the whole day so why not treat yourself right now if you want one?

They are an affordable act of self care and should be utilised if they are exactly what you want. I have only had massages on the odd occasion and this is something I want to change. I do have a tension knot in my neck and shoulders that I feel could do with working out but I also think it is a great act of self care I could try, now that I have got a little extra time to myself around my working hours. I’m definitely going to be booking in a regular massage when I can.

If going out to get one isn’t an option, why not consider a massage chair? Get it here.

Do you get massages? If so, why and do you have a particular type of massage you’d recommend?

It has been some time since I last had a massage. Reasons why I have had a massage :- Relax, Ease Pain, etc.

I would tend to recommend Aromatherapy Massage. Relaxing, nice smell / aroma from the essential oils used. Also I tend to ask for deep rather than light massage. As I find this is effective for easing muscles. Can ease tension, knots, pain.

Reflexology I would also recommend. As soothing. Seems to somehow feel as if walking taller, easier, less pain / discomfort, which I can also feel benefits my back. Possibly posture improves following a treatment.
