25 before 25: 1-5

Inspired by the lovely Janey from Is That You Darling? who creates these lists every year according to her age, I thought I would like to create a list of things I want to do before I am 25. I am actually only 23 right now but my 24th birthday is not too long away which makes it pretty impossible to do everything on my list! Hence I am cheating a little and giving myself just over a year to do these 25 things…

1. Read at least 25 books between now and January 2015. Since January this year, I have read just 23 in comparison to the 48 last year – even last year I could have done better! I really love reading but in between being a mother and writing not only this blog but for my job, reading seems to keep getting pushed down the list of things to do.
2. Again taking inspiration from Jane, I would love to do a Photo An Hour post monthly or bi-monthly on the blog. I took part a little while back with Jane on Instagram but would love to be able to write a blog post around it and make it a regular thing.
3. Visit Greenway. Remember that author I love – *cough* Agatha Christie *cough* – well, I have always planned on visiting her home in Devon and this was reaffirmed when I watched one of the recent Poirot episodes which was actually set there.
4. Make plans to go on the Orient Express. Whilst I may not necessarily get to go on it before I am 25, I do plan on making some plans towards it – perhaps ask Steve to take me as an anniversary present?
5. Be in the throes of wedding planning. Whilst we originally wanted to get married next September, that simply isn’t going to be possible and so hopefully we will have set a date by January 2015 and I will be fully submerged in planning my perfect day.
I am planning on showing you my 25 things over the course of the next few weeks, why not come along for the ride?

  1. I saw the Orient Express once – it randomly stopped where I live (it doesn't usually). Very nice!

  2. I'll be coming for a nose too – sounds very good! I did a bucket list years ago and found it recently and read it. All I could think was how boring I was!!!
