It has been a while since I’ve done a tag but here I am again, answering some questions. Today I am doing the 10 unusual things you didn’t know about me tag, as tagged by Nicola from Nicspirational. I’ve answered a lot of tags in my time so I’m not too sure what things you don’t already know about me but I will give it a go.
- When I was younger, I loved fruit and vegetables and proper home cooked stodgy British meals like steak & kidney pudding and things like that and I often chose those over fast food, soft drinks and sweet stuff. I need to get back to being like that, right?
- I have a real fear of clowns. Steve took me to the circus when we had been together 18 months, I hid behind him whenever the clowns were around.
- Taking inspiration from Nicola, I share my birthday with Germaine Greer, Oprah Winfrey and Tom Selleck. An interesting selection of people!
- My pet peeve is people not saying thank you when you hold doors open for them or similar. I have been known to shout a sarcastic thank you after them.
- I once wanted to be a criminologist. You all already know how much I love true crime and fictional crime books, TV shows etc. I was so obsessed at one point that I was considering training to become a criminologist. And why not? Criminologists do good work, whether they are working alongside an aggravated assault defense lawyer or helping to uncover killers and more – it’s all useful work and the kind of thing that could be very rewarding.
- I don’t wear much makeup. Not anymore anyway. Shocking when I once was a beauty blogger but I just don’t feel the need to wear it that often anymore. I do still wear it for special occasions and often slick on some concealer and mascara but other than that, I don’t feel the need.
- I watch A LOT of trashy TV. Hey, when Steve is working nights I get full control of the TV and sometimes I want to watch stuff that will kill my brain cells, okay? Don’t judge.
- Although a big lover of WWE now and liking it a little when I was younger, I didn’t properly get back into it until I was 20 and now love it, especially chatting with some other bloggers during PPVs!
- I still haven’t read To Kill A Mockingbird despite having owned the book for ten years. Oops.
- It makes me sad that I won’t ever be able to read all of the books out there in the world. Is this weird?
I tag anyone that wants to complete the tag!
What is unusual about you?

I loved reading this!
I too love stodgy food and am often heard shouting sarcastic thank you’s at rude people.
Loved your answers! I hardly wear makeup either anymore. You HAVE to read To Kill a Mockingbird! And your last point about the books had never crossed my mind before, but now you’ve brought it to my attention I’m feeling a little sad too.
