I was sent a watch for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
ADEXE Watch London are a Shoreditch based watch brand. They have recently launched a new campaign ‘Your Time Is Now’, all about taking ownership. I was given the opportunity to review a watch from their new range for summer and back to school and talk about how I am taking ownership.
I’ve recently been considering my work and life balance and realised if there was anything that I needed to take ownership of, then it was certainly my time. I needed to find that balance whilst still hitting deadlines and keeping myself and my family. I’ve been taking steps towards this and can finally say I feel like I am getting somewhere – it also helps that I’ve got a beautiful watch on my wrist that helps me avoid time running away with me!
To help me own my time better, I opted for the new Petite Lake Blue watch which retails at £95. The watch is 100% produced and designed in house. The case material is made from hand polished all stainless steel and the glass is made from curved hardened crystal. The strap itself is made from handmade genuine Italian leather and has a battery that is meant to last five years. The date on it is subtle and the Roman numerals are slightly oversized which makes for a really pretty and unique timepiece.
I don’t usually wear a watch. Being right handed and using a laptop on a day to day basis meant wearing a watch wasn’t always feasible. Trying to find one that suited me that didn’t constantly hit the corner of my laptop seemed like such an endless task – however I am pleased to say that I can work at my laptop with this watch on easily. It is dainty enough to not bash into my laptop as I tap away to deadlines whilst still being a real talking point of any outfit I have.
I’ve found that I definitely am more aware of the time with this watch on, too. When working away at my laptop, it has been known for me to glance at the time on my screen and glance back what I think is ten minutes later to see that an hour has passed by unnoticed. With this watch on my wrist, I am more aware, I’m constantly taking glances and remembering to take a break.
This watch has seamlessly worked its way into my day to day outfits and I am constantly being asked where it is from. It is the perfect size for my wrist and I absolutely adore the colour. Even Steve, who is very fussy when it comes to watches, has said how beautiful he thinks this watch is. I’m thinking of maybe treating him to his very own ADEXE London watch to congratulate him on his new job – what do you think?
I’m taking ownership of my time. What are you taking ownership of in your life?

You picked a really pretty watch, I love the blue colouring of the strap x
