What is your favourite book and why?
I loved Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier. It’s a great thriller with some fantastic twists and turns.
House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is the most amazing book I have ever read. Never seen anything like it before, or since, and to be honest scared the wossits of out me, had to leave lights on for 2 weeks every night, but some say it is a love story, depends how you read it, such a weird book focusing on perception of things.. It is written in Ergodic text – for example if it says the words getting smaller, the text itself gets smaller, if it says going up the stairs , the text itself becomes stairs. It absolutely blew my mind. Anyway do a wiki search for the book, the most amazing book I have ever read!

Love the entire Harry potter book series and movies
I read a lot and many different genres but I think my favourite book would have to be Jane Eyre, it’s interesting, emotional, romantic and suspenseful which is everything I want from a book. It’s one I can re read and discover something new.

I love the Seven Sisters series by Lucinda Riley, a great series of books which are also enjoyable by themselves.
What is your favourite book and why?
Clan of the Cave Bear because l love historical fiction and this is set at the dawn of mankind, it is an amazing journey into this world
My favourite book is “Watership Down” by Richard Adams. I find this to be a wonderful book, full or trials overcome, and ultimately redemption.
I like reading autobiographies and love to delve into family history
I love a book called Small Great Things, it’s by Jodi Picoult and very thought provoking
for me its The Shadow on the Lens by Sam Hurcom – it is set in the village i grew up although set at turn of 20th Century. I love how it is written and it takes me back
I really loved Perfume by Patrick Stuskind. It’s a gothic tale with vivid imagery and a fantastic story.
Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. I studied it at school and it really highlights the bond behind siblings which I can really relate to
Pawn of prophecy by David Eddings it was the first adult/young adult book I read when I was 9 and it really kick started my love for science fantasy
I love Ice Station by Matthew Reilly because it’s none stop action that you can’t put down
Enjoyed Toast by Nigel Slater – funny, touching and packed with food from the 70’s I remember from my childhood x
I love the classic Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte. It’s full of passion and the atmosphere is fantastic
Love books by Karin Slaughter, but find it impossible to choose a favourite one!
I love The Passage by Justin Cronin as it is completely terrifying!

I love the horror genre and zombies so it’s World War Z. It’s a book I can read over and over.
I love Jane Eyre. It’s one of those books where every time I read it I get something different out of it.
I love Circe by Madeleine Miller because it reframes the story from the female character’s point of view, and is so beautifully written!
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas: The perfect ‘revenge is best served cold’ tale which has a moral lesson to any who believes this is a truism. It’s long, but so worth the invested time! Any movies just simply do not do the author and his work justice.
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. I could not put this book down! Not only excellent story telling but gave an interesting insight into life in a war torn country in the Middle East. Learnt some Afghan phrases too!
The Twits by Roald Dahl. Loved it as a kid, and still enjoyable as an adult.
Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. The twists and turns in this historical Victorian era novel really blew me away on my first read!
H is for hawk as it is a very clever story within a story and made me want to read The sword in the stone afterwards.

My favourite book is good omens by Neil gaiman and Terry pratchett. I have lost count of the number of times I have read it.

The Hunger games, it can be enjoyed young and old and has a really good serious message behind it
I love to read so much that I couldn’t possibly pick my favourite book. It’s usually the book that I’m currently reading! At the moment I’ve nearly finished Elevator Pitch by Linwood Barclay, I’ll never go on a lift again!
Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Even had to visit Romania, to see the real castle! Then had it tattooed on me!!
My sisters keeper, it raises so many issues. I often think about it and what I would do in their position.
I’ve just finished reading 10 Minutes & 38 Seconds in this Strange world and absolutely loved it as it was so different to anything else I’ve read!
I thoroughly enjoyed ‘ The Psycology of Time Travel’ wriiten by Kate Mascarenhas. Now reading ‘the Botanists Daughter’ by Kayte Nunn.

Stephen King the Dark tower series. Not really one book but they should be read as such, fantasy, historical, sci fi. Just a great mixture! Love the characters. Nothing like the film.
I love Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine because it is heart-warming, true to life and beautifully written too.
My favourite books are the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan because I love the epic world-building.
For me it is the famous five series by Enid Blyton, even as an adult I still love them!
My favourite book has always been The Hobbit since I was a child. I love the fantasy elements to it.
it just has to be harry potter. My all time favourite and i always get so lost in the world of magic!

It’s very hard to have just one favourite book but I recently read Kelley Armstrong’s omens and loved all the mystery and magic.
Order in Mesopotamia, it is just such a fantastic read with twists and turn keeps you gripped.
Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie. A classic, and my favourite Poirot!
One of my favourite books is Anne of Green Gables. I love Anne’s character.
My favourite book is Reasons to Stay Alive by Matt Haig as his work really speaks to me.
‘Start Your Day With Katie: 365 Affirmations for a Year of Positive Thinking’ by Katie Piper — because she’s my inspiration to keep mindful during my fight against all the hardships associated with chronic illness & it’s a precious book.
Rivers Ran East by Leonard Clark, as it is a book that really transports you to the surroundings within it.
This is easy, my favourite book ever is The Gunslinger by Stephen King. I am a massive Stephen King fan and this book (ok series of books) is just so enthralling, it drags you into the story totally and it keeps you hooked right until the end,
My favourite book is The Island by Victoria Hislop, beautiful story about a leper colony called spinalonga in crete which I have been to. Hislop really brings the characters alive.
Being a country girl I love anything by Thomas Hardy. He really captures the spirit and customs of the countryside, and also develops strong, memorable characters.
The great Gatsby as it’s really evocative of a time and place
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman – such great storytelling and characters.
The curious tale of Mr. Y. It was a wildcard book selection. I go biography, known quantity,wildcard. This had a intriguing cover amd black edges to the paper,not the spine. A wierd, Tom Hol, style book. Fun, quirky and mad.
