What To Pack For Your Holiday

Collaborative Post

Love going on holiday, but hate packing? Working out what to wear on holiday can feel like the hardest part of planning your trip. If your suitcase is bursting at the seams, then a holiday capsule wardrobe could be exactly what you need.

Pack A Stylish Summer Dress

A summer dress is both stylish and space-saving. Whether you love a mini dress for a city break or a maxi dress for the beach, there’s a dress for every trip. Add a summery feel with ditsy patterns and prints, or keep it minimal with white.

You only need a change of shoes to take your dress from day to night. Try a smock dress with sliders for beach days, then take it to the restaurant with wedge sandals.

Switch Jeans For Casual Trousers

Holidays are a great excuse to take a break from your usual wardrobe. Instead of packing your usual jeans, swap your denim for casual trousers in lightweight fabrics.

From trendy wide-leg trousers and patterned culottes to linen trousers, you can be stylish and cool on the go. These are also perfect for countries where you need to keep cool, but cover up.

Don’t Forget Supportive Shoes

It can be hard choosing the right shoes for a holiday. As tempting as it is to pack multiple pairs, just in case, you don’t want to be the one with an overweight suitcase.

To get the balance right between support and style, you’ll want at least two pairs. Look for on-trend sandals for beach days and supportive, breathable trainers for sightseeing.

Add Detail With Accessories

Accessories are key to keeping your holiday wardrobe fun and fashionable. They also take up hardly any room in your suitcase, meaning they’re ideal for over packers.

For relaxing on the beach, pack a sun hat. Add some glam with sunglasses and Beserk goth jewellery. Belts, jewellery, and hats all take up little room but can change up your whole look.

Cover Up With A Kaftan

Even abroad, the weather can be unpredictable. For extra protection on the beach and by the pool, add a cover-up to your suitcase, in case of rain or cooler temperatures.

A cover-up is also great for heading to the pool bar. You can transform it into a lightweight summer jacket too by layering it over dresses, jumpsuits, and camisoles. Beach to bar dressing has never been so easy.

Pack Floaty Tops

Holiday capsule wardrobes are designed to help you create stylish summer outfits with just a handful of items. For easy to wear tops that tie together with lots of options, choose a floaty camisole. Super simple to dress up and down, camisole tops can also be rolled up to save space in the suitcase.

For maximum wearability, pack one plain and one patterned design. You can mix these with different bottoms for lots of different looks. Gingham prints and bright colours are perfect for the holiday. Pair these floaty tops with your linen trousers or high-waisted shorts, depending on the weather.
