Have you ever thought about what your dream home would look like? I know I have. I used to buy all the homes and interior magazines when I first moved in with Steve and loved seeing what people did with their properties. I am a sucker for shows such as Through The Keyhole and seeing what luxurious things celebrities have – some of them have the best luxury lifts in their properties and I am so jealous! But there are a few things I would really like from my dream home and I thought I’d talk about them today!
Of course I need to get a mortgage in place to own my dream home – I’ve been looking at different mortgage brokers around just to get an idea of what I can expect and also finding out more about the tools they use – learn more about one here. So here is what I want from my dream home:
A Library
I know this is a big ask but if I could combine it with a home office, maybe it would be a little more achievable. I love my books and I have so many and not enough space to put them all so a library would be great! It would be my own little haven and I would even have a little reading nook just for me!
A Home Gym
I desperately need to lose weight and I definitely think a home gym would help with this. We already have a few things that would look great in a home gym and we also have plenty of sports equipment but I could definitely do with some adjustable dumbbells and a few other items. What other things would you suggest to put in a home gym?

A Large Garden
With two kids and an active dog, a large garden is a must. We have a decent sized garden where we are now but I would love something much bigger when we come to own a property. Enough space to have some play equipment for the kids, space for the dog and the kids to run around and enough space for garden furniture and a BBQ? Perfect!
A Large Kitchen
When we lived in our old property, we hated cooking because the kitchen was so small. The kitchen in the house we are in now is large and spacious and means we enjoy cooking much more. If we were to buy a property, we would definitely want a large kitchen as we love cooking and Olivia and Jack also love cooking with us in there too.
A Home Office
If I don’t get a library, then a home office is definitely a must regardless. I work from home and although I can work from anywhere in the home, having a dedicated space to work is helpful and means I can lock myself away when I have deadlines to meet. I have a desk in the games/gym room in our house at the moment but I share it with Steve who studies in there for his accountancy degree.
These is what I would love from a dream house – what would be in your dream house?
