Weight Loss Diary #25

Its time for another weight loss diary and I am feeling a little despondent. Don’t get me wrong, I am all planned for the week ahead – I have a meal plan, a list of the stuff I have in my freezer and cupboards, my shopping list which I bought things from yesterday and a list of low syn treats as I am creating syn bags.

However I seem to be stuck in a major rut and I don’t quite know how to get out of it. I’ve been yo-yoing for the past few weeks and had a really good week last week – or so I thought. I ate well, I did lots of walking and other things and yet I came out with a gain of 1lb. I don’t feel there is any real justification for it unless my body was just retaining the water I had been drinking plus star week is potentially approaching (I don’t quite know when atm as my body is still a bit all over the place from my missed MC back in December so I can’t quite track it!). I’m hoping that having had a good week last week and coming out with a gain means I come out this week with a big loss.

I don’t know why I seem to have lost my way but it just seems to be a rut that I can’t dig myself out from. I’ve got so much planned for this week – lots of walking as usual, more time spent on the exercise bike, lots of speedy food – I’m going to be making lots of veggie soups this week – and even going for a run with some of my Slimming World buddies. I’ve also been drinking a lot of herbal tea in recent weeks as I move away from carbonated drinks so I’m thinking I might do a teatox in the next week or two too to cleanse. I’m going to attempt to hit my 10,000 steps on my Fitbit every day including at the weekend  as that’s where I really struggle to get the steps in. I lost 0.5lb last week and I did a mass of decluttering so I am hoping that doing some more this week along with exercise and a really good meal plan will help me see a good loss on the scales this week.

If I still don’t see what I want to see, I’m going to grab an SAS log from my consultant and also do an SP week (or even a few SP days) to get myself back in the zone. My mind seems to have totally gone elsewhere recently and I can tell as I am distracted from not only my weight loss journey but everything else too. I can do it, I know I can. I just need that massive kick up the bum. Wish me luck!

  1. Consider your bum kicked! (and mine too) is doing a food diary helping? i’m managing (So far) to avoid eating things because I don’t particularly want to have to write them down (things like turning down the giant slab of homemade victoria sponge i couldn’t accurately syn)
