Trying Something New With Nothing But. and Fru Snax

First up, the Nothing But. range. These snacks are essentially freeze dried vegetable slices. Like they say on the bag, all Nothing But. do is cut them out, take them out the water and put them in a bag. I will be honest and say the flavours didn’t appeal to me too much. I am a favour of all four flavours separately  but I did think the combinations a little odd. Steve wasn’t a fan of either, I liked the beetroot and parsnip but disliked the mange tout and red pepper and Jack loved both! These really are very personal to each specific person as some will like the taste and some won’t whilst some won’t like the freeze dried concept. I didn’t particularly mind. 

I passed on a bag of each flavour to my Dad and he seemed to like them so thats a 50% vote for the Mange Tout and a 75% for the Beetroot! Not bad!

Now onto the sweet stuff…

In comparison, I loved the idea of these flavour combinations – especially the yogurt melt idea! My Dad unfortunately didn’t get a look in with these and I was very lucky to myself – otherwise Jack and Steve would have eaten the lot! These are incredibly tasty – I really liked the peach slices with vanilla yogurt melts (especially the yogurt melts!) and Steve really liked the cherry melts from the fig pack.  Like most other times, Jack liked both – I swear he likes pretty much anything! These definitely get the thumbs up from us!

All in all, I can’t say that I would necessarily pick up anything from the Nothing But. range if I passed them in the supermarket…I just don’t think they’re for me. I would, however, definitely add some items from the Fru Snax range if I was to chance upon them – they are such a tasty lightweight snack and you can munch away with no guilt!
