I recently published a review and a giveaway for Trendhim (read it here) so I was super excited when they contacted me about another review.
When given the opportunity to review a weekender bag, I couldn’t help but choose this gorgeous Layne Tan Leather Duffel Bag. It usually retails at £299 but at the time of publishing, is currently on sale for £179. Designed in Denmark for Lucleon, it is a product I was excited to receive. It arrived in a cotton dust bag to protect it which I thought was a lovely touch.
The bag is crafted from genuine leather and has a unique pebble grain finish. It is very soft thanks to the soft leather construction and the flat bottom helps to provide support and prevent it from falling over when placed on the ground.
I am finding recently that I am either needing to take massive bags out with me or the tiniest bags ever. Tiny bags for the school run as all I need are my phone, money and keys whilst bigger bags for when we are going out and I need more stuff. However sometimes I need to carry my laptop, chargers, notebooks and a whole other array of things, especially when doing something work related.
This duffel bag has a very spacious interior which includes a designated space for a phone and wallet, thanks to the zipper pocket and open pouch. There’s also a fantastic compartment especially for your laptop – something I find many bags are missing despite having the space to carry one.
On the website, they say it is ideal as a gym or office bag and it is easy to see why. There is plenty of space to put everything you need for a day at the office (especially when they have their own dedicated compartments) but it’s also great for taking gym clothes and equipment out with you. It can even be used as a bag for a weekend getaway – it’s the perfect size!
The bag also comes with a detachable shoulder strap (something I love as I hate having to hold a bag!) and a lovely little luggage tag.
The quality of this duffel bag cannot be disputed. Ask anyone and they will tell you how much I love a good bag. It broke my heart recently to cut down my collection (don’t worry, I donated to the charity shop) but this bag more than makes up for it. It is a genuine leather bag, extremely good quality and is going to be the perfect bag for meetings outside my home for work and perhaps even the odd weekend away.
