The Best Teacher Gift Ideas

Collaborative Post

The end of the school year is rapidly approaching and class Whatsapp chats are abuzz with parents discussing gifts for teachers. Whether you tend to do your own thing or you usually put towards a bigger present, it cannot be denied that teacher gifts are something that are always thought about come July.

I know that both my kids class Whatsapp chats have started talking about gifts and there’s already been chatter about what to get them. I’ve been taking a look at Gift Delivery to get some ideas of some great teacher gifts to say thank you for all of their hard work this year.

It can be tough to know what to get them. You want to get them something that they will appreciate and get a lot of use out of. But you alo want to ensure it is quite unique – especially if it is a solo effort rather than a joint effort. Here are some top gift ideas for the teachers in your kids school.

Stationery

It is sad to say it but many teachers have to buy their own stationery in for their classes. With them spending their own money on stationery for their students, they have less to spend on nice stuff for themselves. A great gift for a teacher is some personalised stationery or a pencil case with a cute quote such as Gift Delivery’s Thank You For Be-Leafing In Me pencil case. It’s cute but also practical.

Crockery

Teachers love their cups of tea and coffee especially when it helps get them through the day with our little ones! A mug or travel mug makes a great gift as you know it is something they will use time and time again.

Vouchers

Something we have done a lot in my kids school is give vouchers. The class rep tends to put a message in the group, everyone chips in a little bit of cash and then the teacher is given a voucher to a shop which sells plenty of different items so they can choose something themselves that they would like. This gift always goes down well!

Flowers

These don’t last very long but they look pretty! Flowers always make a wonderful gift for teachers and teaching assistants – they show how much you appreciate the teachers but also the teacher can get rid of them in the not too distant future when they have served their purpose.

You could also get them a nice vase to put some flowers in!

Hampers

If you are going in on a group gift, hampers make a great gift. You may need to do a little bit of research to find out exactly what things the teacher likes but once you know, you can choose from a range of different hampers. There really is a hamper for everything now from cheese to sweets to alcohol!

These are just a few gift ideas for the teachers at your child’s school. Have you started thinking about teacher gifts yet?
