Mini F&F Kids Haul

Mini F&F Kids Haul

When it comes to children’s clothing, I have been quite lucky over the past couple of years. Of course, we have bought quite a few things ourselves but we were also lucky to be given a load of new or slightly used stuff by family and friends. Jack is now getting to the age where he is really developing his own little personality and we wanted to buy him some new clothes as his older stuff is starting to look just like that…old!

Whilst we were away in Camber, we took the opportunity to visit the massive Tesco in Ashford and of course, pick up a few items for Jack from the F&F kids range. We only bought a handful of items (we also picked up some gorgeous stuff on offer for my friend’s little boy) but we’re really happy with what we bought and the price – such great quality for such affordable prices? You can’t really go wrong!

This was probably my favourite out of the 4 items – the I Need Space! t-shirt which is normally £4 but was reduced to £2! Jack is obsessed with the moon and looking into the sky so I thought he would love this! Plus it reminds me a little of Doctor Who…
The next thing I picked up was this digger top which was £2.50 – nothing special about why we chose this, it is just a simple top Jack can wear for everyday things.
I swear that no matter what size clothing Jack is in, I always end up buying a stripy collared shirt and as you can see, I did it again! This was £5 – a fantastic price – and will be kept for certain occasions as I love it too much for him to use as an everyday shirt!

Finally, we picked up this swimsuit for £10. Whilst Camber was a little too cold for taking a dip in the sea and the swimming pool wasn’t yet open, we still purchased this, knowing we will be visiting Bluestone and possibly also going to Camber again this Summer – I was very lucky to find this as someone had separated the two pieces and it was the only one left in Jack’s size! I can’t wait to take him swimming in this!

Do you ever buy from the F&F range? What do you think of it?

Haul | Avene and Klorane

Haul | Avene and Klorane

I recently entered a competition with Avene and whilst I wasn’t the lucky winner, they offered to send the runners up a little something as there were only 10 or so entries. Imagine my surprise when the postman came to the door with a huge parcel that I wasn’t expecting and when I peeked inside, I found this little lot….

I have only tried their gentle cleanser and a few other products in the past and had actually got a mini Eau Thermale spring water to try which I still hadn’t opened. Here’s the rundown of what I received:
Micellar lotion, Eau De Thermale spring water, Rich Hydrating Cream, Soothing Moisture Mask, Cold Cream, Rich Compensating Cream and the Sun Care High Protection Tinted Compact in beige.
After trying their gentle cleanser and loving it, I was actually considering trying out a full skincare routine with just their products but I was waiting until I had the money to do so – no need now!

I was also sent some stuff from Klorane in my prize – I assume they are part of the same company – I have had little sample bottles of Klorane in the past but I will be interested to see what these are like – one is a shampoo with mango butter, another with oat milk and I also have the conditioner with mango butter – they smell incredible!

I feel very lucky to have won such a nice prize and can’t wait to try it all out – would you like to see reviews on any of it?

These items were a prize win.

Everything £5 Clothing Haul

Everything £5 Clothing Haul

Last week, myself and Lisa were lucky enough to win Everything £5’s Twitter competition, each winning vouchers to the value of £100! As you probably guessed by the name, you can get a lot for £100 but I am only going to show you a selection of what I bought today as I have bought some items for other people.

I picked this one up simply because it had makeup on it – how could I resist?
I am more of a tiger girl when it comes to big cats but I really liked the look of this and could hardly say no!
I went a bit crazy on the knitted front. I really like this dark blue sleeveless knit and even bought one for someone else too! I love darker colours come Autumn and this will be perfect.
Another white tee with a picture on it! Very predictable, I know! I’m not too sure what it is about this top that I liked – it is quite girly.
Perhaps my favourite is this copper toned cowl neck woollen jumper with short sleeves. I have already worn this and had compliments on it – people could hardly believe the price!
Anyone who knows me will tell you that I love stripes and there are a vast number of striped items in my wardrobe. I am not too keen on this jumper now that it is here but I will probably pass it on to someone.

This is what I call my Christmas jumper. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted it for Christmas and I know red is a good colour for me so it killed two birds with one stone. I love the detailing around the neckline, it is just so pretty and looks much more expensive than £5!

I also went a little crazy on the shoes & accessories front. I did have a bit of a nightmare when it came to shoes as they either didn’t have my size or didn’t have the colour I wanted. I did, however, finally strike lucky…

How gorgeous are these wedges? I am yet to wear them out but I really love them. I downsized my shoe collection not too long back and was really missing some wedges in my collection. I couldn’t believe it when I saw these and quickly snapped them up.

The shamballa bracelet is just another to add to my collection, nothing special. I am in love with my watch though, it is so pretty! The strap is plastic as you would expect for the price but I don’t see this leaving my wrist for a very long time.
I recently gave my underwear drawer a complete overhaul so needed some pretty new items to replace the old tat! Whilst I originally wanted this in another colour that was sold out, I am actually happy I got this one now.

Last but not least, this little bag. I am unsure if I am keeping this – it is pretty but do I really need anymore bags? What do you think?

Have you ever bought anything from Everything5pounds.com?

Recent Beauty Buys | Vivo & The Body Shop

I am a sucker for a good deal. If a company is offering a decent discount and the possibility of some free items if you spend over x amount, I like to see what they have to offer. This sometimes leads to situations such as these…

After being very impressed by the Vivo Colour Block in ‘Dreamy’ Eye Palette, I had to pick up some Vivo items when they were offering 50% off and free delivery! I had a few items on my wishlist, thanks to Gemma so I picked up the Colour Block Eye Palette in Enchanted, the Blush and Highlighter Duo in Pink Primrose and my personal favourite so far – the Baked Blush in Rouge Shimmer. Gemma had raved about it to me and rightly so – it is absolutely beautiful!

I also picked up a couple of things from The Body Shop when they had a discount offer available. I picked up a lipstick (which isn’t pictured but is featured in my How Much Is My Face Worth? post), a set of mini brushes to carry around with me and a small cleansing brush,. just to see what it was like. I also signed up to their membership scheme as I realised that I do spend quite a bit in there so it would be nice to reap the benefits! I was lucky enough to receive a Rainforest Moisture haircare sample and the White Musk Libertine Body Lotion absolutely free!

I have been quite restrained when it comes to shopping recently and only getting things that I think I’ll need. If I do, I always make sure to seek out discounts too! I recently won some vouchers for a clothing website so I am looking forward to splurging then though!

What have you recently bought, beauty wise?

Recent Buys

These are just a few of the things I have picked up recently – I haven’t included the stuff I bought on Tuesday with Shona, Lisa & Hannah as I stupidly forgot to include them when taking the pictures – there is a picture of them on my Instagram if you’re that interested though.

Everything in these pictures except two things came from good old Poundland! I was out with my Dad and Jack (post to come soon as a guest post on Life In A Breakdown) and my Dad wanted some stuff from there…who am I to say no?

I’d seen a few people post about Calvin Klein eyeshadows in Poundland – I think Sara was one – and I was hoping I’d have some luck myself. Nope. However, I did pick up a couple of Famous and Collection eyeshadows, some So…? lipglosses, a cooling mist, hand cream and some travel bottles. I also bought some books – I’m not sure why, it isn’t like I don’t have enough already!

The Technic palette was from an Amazon order I made – I was ordering my friends birthday present but it came to just under £10 thus not qualifying for free delivery. I had a browse around and picked this. I know I could have just forked out for the delivery charge but even with this on top, it still came to less than what just the present would have been! Crazy, right? Buy it here.

The storage you see above was by far my best buy of the day. Just the day before I had been moaning about having too many lip products and not enough storage. I had been looking all day for something affordable but pretty with enough space for my expansive collection. I’d almost given up until I popped into my local charity shop and saw this sitting there for the grand total of…

£2.50. Yes, that is all it cost me! It is quite bulky and heavy so it took a little bit of effort to get home but for that price, I am hardly complaining. I’m planning on giving it a bit of TLC and a paint job perhaps (expect a post!) but I am so pleased with it!

What have you been buying recently?
