When contacted the other week by someone on behalf of Swizzels Matlow and asked if I’d like to review their Christmas product range, I knew I had to say yes. Steve is a big Swizzels Matlow fan and if I hadn’t agreed, he probably wouldn’t have spoken to me for a week. When my parcel arrived, I was shocked as I certainly wasn’t expecting as much as we got – although it did make our house the go-to place for family and friends for a while!
We were sent three different products to review: the Sweet Extravaganza, the Sweet Shop Favourites and the Sweet Treats. Each product had similar items within as the others but each box or tub seemed to have that one product that featured most prominently in that particular collection.
The Sweet Extravaganza box held all manners of things from Refresher cubes to Lovehearts and Parma Violets. I took great pleasure in keeping pretty much all the Parma Violets to myself as no one else likes them. Steve particularly enjoyed the Fizzy Sherbets.
The Sweet Shop Favourites held such high street gems as Lovehearts and Drumstick Lollies – the box even had the Sherbet lollies which I was thrilled about, they are one of my favourite sweets of all times! There seemed to be a vast number of Lovehearts in this box but I certainly wasn’t complaining!
The Sweet Treats tub seemed to hold a little bit of everything – this tub went relatively quickly whilst we still have some sweets left over from the other two boxes. Friends and family would turn up, chat for five minutes, take a handful and go – a real testament to the public’s perception of Swizzels Matlow, I think.
All in all, we were very impressed with the Christmas treats Swizzels Matlow have to offer. Giving Steve and myself the opportunity to sample our favourite sweets from childhood is something we are incredibly grateful for and I am now trying to stop myself from actively seeking out all the parma violets in the world…yum!

Oh, I love those fizzy ones…and yellow lollipops (the advantage of that being that no one else seems to like the yellow ones, so I get them all *grins*)
I need all of these for christmas!! although mostly the tub because it has climpies in it and they are the best thing ever!
My favorite sweet is chocolate! These treats look great too! They aren't the run of the mill candies- love!
What would we do without Swizzels Matlow? Fabulous sweets – not for me – but for the kids!
