Since Steve has been constantly working nights recently and has had to sleep during the day in this heat, a noisy toddler does not help when you are trying to sleep! Thus, myself and Jack have been trying to make it a little more bearable for him by leaving him indoors and escaping for our own adventures.
The past few days have been spent enjoying lunch with friends, visiting the river near our house and even having a picnic with Nanny. It has been nice to spend time with friends and family in the sunshine and get to do things we may not otherwise do. Jack has been very active, running around everywhere and tiring himself out which means I haven’t got many pictures *sob* but it does mean he is having a good nights sleep and giving me a rest, haha! We are off out for a carvery in a little while but I thought I’d pop up a collage from the past couple of days because it has been so nice to spend time doing things with my beautiful boy.
He’s even had a haircut which we love..but he now looks like a little boy and not my baby anymore. He is growing up so quickly and I need to treasure every day.
Have you been enjoying the sunshine?

I love the collage! I can't imagine trying to keep a child quiet during the day. They always seem to know what you really want and then deliver the opposite! 😉
n'aww what a cutie! Bet you're a busy bee trying to keep him outdoors and entertained!! Fingers crossed you find lots more fun things to do!

Awww his so adorable, I spent the weekend with my goddaughter she is fearless and loves this weather. She was running up and down in the nene park, she got me tired I could hardly wake up the following day.
Aww look at him – he is just the cutest <3 x
Beautiful pictures! Your son is absolutely adorable!
Beautiful pictures! The sunny weather has been fab hasnt it and sometimes its the simple things like a picnic and walk along the river or park that kids love the most! It really is scary how quickly they grow up isnt it! x
His haircut is so sweet! I love just simple summer days of picnics and river exploring x
That's the good thing about taking kids out and keeping them busy, means they sleep well, which means YOU sleep well too! x

Lovely collage! Let's hope we can enjoy those sunny days for longer!
Ah, lovely collage! I have to say I'm not really enjoying the sunshine/heat – it's a bit better now that the temperature has dropped a degree or two but at seven months pregnant it's pretty unbearable!
We don't like the heat at all. We make sure we go out early in the morning.
Oh it's sad when they grow up isn't it. Yes been enjoying the sun and finally got the paddling pool out on Friday xx
aww his haircut is so sweet! x
Some lovely photos! We've been out trying to enjoy the sun as much as possible, but even with factor 50 on my boys are so fair that I get paranoid after a short time and we head in – and being 21 weeks pregnant doesn't help. I love his little haircut – he looks adorable!
oh yes, loving the sunshine… have to take in all we can before colder months come with visit.
I hated hubby working nights as i found it almost impossible to keep the kids quiet, despite going out for most of the day. Looks like you've had fun though
