How are you coping so far? We’re a couple of weeks in and I don’t know about you but I’m exhausted! I’ve put together some ideas to keep the kids busy this summer and maybe even you too.

Keeping The Kids Busy
First of all, I’d suggest looking around for fun activities near you. We are very lucky to have a splash park near us that is free to use so we’ve been there already and planning on going back again. Our local shopping centre also often puts on fun free activities as well so we are always heading to those.
Many places put on free or cheap events in the summer; it is just a case of doing a little research.
Plus-Plus Travel Case
If you are looking for a screen free activity to help keep children entertained, look no further than the Plus-Plus Travel Case.
It is ideal for at home or on the go and the reusable case contains Plus-Plus pieces and activity cards. They encourage children to build, create and use their imagination and it has kept my kids busy with the older three taking it in turns to play with it! A great achievement since the 14 year old and 9 year old are often stuck to their phones, tablets or games consoles. Pick yours up here.

Home Bargains Haul
I don’t know about you but I love Home Bargains and can easily spend a lot of money in there. They have plenty of items to keep kids busy this summer – and many are Toy Story themed to celebrate the new film! There is a watering can, a gardening tool set and a bucket so they can keep busy in the garden helping you, whether you’re planting or watering flowers or vegetables!

Don’t Worry About Water
So many items get ruined in paddling pools because they aren’t waterproof – kids just don’t realise sometimes! What if I told you the kids could go in the paddling pool AND still play games?

These Paladone Disney Stitch Waterproof Playing Cards are so much fun – grab yours here.
Record Your Days Out
Finally for the kids, why not record your fun days out as a cool memory for the future?

The Amazing Adventures of Me is a fun filled journal and keepsake to record all of your adventures in. We’ve loved filling ours in with our days out so far! Pick your copy up here!
Don’t Forget About Yourself

And finally, don’t forget about taking some time out for yourself. I’ve recently got into adult colouring – late I know – and invested in some good quality pens. See my Tiktok account here where I’ve been talking about it. One summery book that I’d recommend to you all is Tropical Calm – it is such a lovely book. Pick yours up here.
How are you surviving the summer holidays?
