Collaborative Post
A lot of couples may make the mistake of thinking their wedding is all about them. Of course, you are the star of the show at your own wedding, but it doesn’t mean you’re the only people that matter. The truth is that you’re inviting your friends and family to celebrate with you. If you didn’t want them there, you could easily get married without them. Your guests are excited to see you get married, but they also expect to enjoy themselves too. They’re spending time and money on coming to your event, and they don’t want to leave feeling hungry and bored. If you want to take care of your guests, there are some nice things that you can do for them.
Start the Day Off Right
When your wedding begins, there can be a little bit of waiting around. Both before the ceremony and the reception, it can take a while before things get into full swing. To start the day off right for your guests, consider giving them a welcome pack with some treats and useful items. It could include something to nibble on, a copy of the programme, and a bottle of water. Make sure you have drinks and nibbles ready at the reception, especially if your guests might be waiting a while for you to arrive while you get some more photos.
Give Them Something to Take Home
Leaving your guests with something to take home is a great way to say thank you and make your wedding more memorable. Wedding favours can be given in the form of sweets or chocolates, or other edible treats. You could also give your guests something a little more permanent, like a candle or something decorative that they can put in their home. Think about how you can personalise the favours that you give. You want them to be something your guests will really appreciate.

Focus on the Food
One of the things your guests will be looking forward to is the food. In fact, one of the things they’re probably going to remember most is how good (or bad) the food was. So it’s worth focusing on making sure they can enjoy some delicious food that makes their day more fun. Start with checking that you’re catering to everyone’s dietary needs. You could then consider different options for catering, from traditional three-course meals to more interactive experiences that could be memorable.
Thank Them Personally
When you want to show your appreciation to your guests for sharing your special day with you, you can thank them in various ways. Giving everyone a personal thank you will make them feel seen and appreciated. There are some people who might get special recognition in speeches, but you can also thank the rest of your guests. Consider writing them all a short note that you leave at their table or giving them individual gifts chosen for them. Of course, this is much easier for a small wedding.
Show your guests that you care about their experience by looking after them on your wedding day.
