Sorted: The Boyfriend’s Birthday

I chose well when it comes to boyfriends. Not only does Steve have a birthday three days before Valentines Day but he also shares a birthday with my mother…as you can imagine, that is a tiny bit tough on the old purse. Since February isn’t too long after Christmas, I always struggle with what to buy him for his birthday – it usually ends up being a Playstation game from me and something cute but random from Jack as it just becomes too expensive otherwise – I can’t afford to buy tons of presents!

Lately, however, Steve has been talking about giving his wardrobe a little shakeup. He pretty much lives in hoodies and joggers so it would be nice to add a few nicer items into the mix.

I had to add the obligatory hoodie as even if he doesn’t wear it, I can steal it for myself- clever thinking, eh? I can’t remember the last time I saw Steve wear jeans so it would be nice to get him some more that he might actually wear – to be fair, the pairs he does own are both battered! He isn’t really the blazer type however I love the look of this one and believe it would really suit him. 

I also had to include some underwear and an accessory; this time a wallet. If all else fails, accessories always go down well with a man. Steve is always misplacing his cards so a wallet is a must. I also really want to get him one of these Lyle and Scott polo shirts but I cannot choose which one is the best – the electric blue is my favourite but I think the hot pink and dark blue would suit him equally as well! Why are men so difficult to buy for sometimes?

I will still probably pick him up a game and something cute from Jack – he has got something coming for him that I won from a giveaway which would be a nice extra present – but I do find it tough year in, year out! It seems present giving never ends!
