Have a Routine
Though it might be difficult to maintain a routine when you are not going out to work or doing your usual activities, it can be beneficial to have some sort of routine so that your body gets used to when it is time to eat or sleep. Having a routine can provide the following.
- Lower your stress levels
- Enable you to feel more productive
- Aids concentration
Fitness Friends
There are an abundance of fitness videos from professional fitness gurus which you could attempt at home, when you have a quiet moment to yourself, to get a bit of exercise in. It will also be a great activity to do with the children if you find a video which is a bit more engaging to get them moving around. You could then treat them to a lovely homemade lunch or snack to keep their energy levels going until dinner time.

Home Cooked Meals Are The Best
One of the positive benefits of lockdown life is that it can enable you to spend more time in the kitchen cooking lovely home cooked, healthy meals. You are more likely to maintain a better diet as you will be using fresh ingredients and will know exactly what is going into your meal. This is far healthier compared to takeaway meals or dining out in restaurants (when this was possible).
Time To Give Up Those Cigarettes
If you have not already quit smoking, then now is the ideal opportunity to do so, given the times we are currently living in. Of course you do not want to just stop suddenly, it is best to withdraw in a gradual manner, using a vape pen as well to wean off the nicotine from the cigarettes.
In comparison to those that quit and solely used patches or gum, it was the people that combined e-cigarettes with the nicotine replacement products that were more successful at giving up cigarettes in a 2019 trial. Time2Vape has a great selection of batteries for vaping devices which you can use to keep your vape lasting a little longer.
Getting Those Daily Steps In
You do not need to give yourself extreme targets such as attempting to train for a marathon or triathlon. Keep your fitness goals to a realistic target. If you have a garden, just doing some gardening each day is a good way of being outdoors with nature, getting exercise and enjoying doing tasks in the garden.
Going for a brisk 10 minute walk to a local park is a great way to escape the confines of home and keep your mental health in a good way, which is very important. This will also be very good for the children and enable them to have a break from looking at screens all day, whether it is for homeschooling or because they are usually glued to their ipads and phones.
