Shepherd Illustration Sloth Print | Review

Item was sent for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don’t know about you but I am a big fan of illustrated prints and love to support small businesses in achieving their dreams. I much prefer a unique shopping experience and unique, exciting products than heading round my local shops to look at mass produced tat. With this in mind, I recently found out about Shepherd Illustration, the brainchild of Lauren Shepherd, a motion graphics designer and illustrator from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Working for herself, her illustrations depict wildlife, wildflowers and bones. After taking a look at her work and being spoilt for choice on what to review, I finally opted for this gorgeous sloth print which is available to buy from Etsy for the amazing price of £20 (but currently on sale for just £10 -snap it up!). We love sloths in our family and I couldn’t resist!

When the print arrived, I was in awe completely. The amount of attention to detail in the print is absolutely unbelievable – it almost looks as if the sloth is about to jump out of the heart into my arms and give me a cuddle. Lauren has so much talent – you can clearly see just how serious she takes her work and how much attention she pays when completing a piece of work – it is absolutely gorgeous.

I was also pleasantly surprised to see a handful of cards Lauren had included within the package – I certainly wasn’t expecting these but I am super happy she saw fit to include them. How gorgeous are they? I’m definitely keeping them for the most special of occasions.

Aren’t they absolutely gorgeous? I’m definitely keeping the Got Your Back one for when a friend is going through a tough time – it would be hard not to crack a smile at such a cute card, right?

Since receiving the print, I’ve also bought a frame for it and it now sits pride of place in my living room close to the TV. Everyone passes a comment on it when they enter the room and I have had so many people ask where I have got it from. I’m constantly recommending Shepherd Illustration to my friends and family when they ask this and insisting they check out the different prints and other products Lauren has to offer – they certainly won’t be disappointed. I wasn’t.

I’ve currently got my eye on a few different prints and may have to get a few for my desk – which ones are your favourite?
