Share It Sunday: Top 5 Toddler Items

We’re linking up with Kerry’s Share It Sunday linky once again and today we are sharing our top 5 toddler items.

LeapFrog Read with Me (Scout) (sent for review)

This has aided Jack so much with his speech and reading. I often hear him chatting or singing away with Scout and this is the first thing he reaches for both morning and night. Although I can find the songs slightly irritating at times, if they are helping my son learn then they are here to stay.

Reins

I haven’t actually got a picture of Jack using his reins but these are a lifesaver. I know some people despise using reins but I wouldn’t be without them. Jack is a little ball of energy and is known to just sprint off so these are a must have when we are out.

Cushi Tush Baby Seat

Although this is designed for 3-18 months and Jack is just starting to outgrow it, this has been possibly the most used baby item in our house. Jack hates his highchair with a passion and will only really go in it if he absolutely has to. This has been handy for giving him meals when he is in that kind of mood plus is a great place for him to sit when he wants to draw.

Apple iPad Mini

I know, I know. Of course, this is more our item but it cannot be denied that our iPad mini has helped Jack in learning too. Whilst we try to teach him things ourselves, things such as Scout and apps on the iPad have helped Jack learn his numbers and ABC really quickly. He isn’t all the way there with the alphabet yet but he is getting there and every day his speech improves. His current favourite app is Stumpy’s Alphabet Dinner – I have to prise the iPad away from him sometimes!

Books in general

I couldn’t really narrow it down to one book as Jack seems to love all books but pictured above are some of his collection. He particularly likes the Moving Blocks one but his On My Potty is proving handy in the journey that is potty training. He also loves the books that come with his Scout and all his Chuggington books too.

What would you say are your top 5 toddler items?

  1. Great items! We love our reins too although don't get much chance to use them. That seat looks pretty cool! Thanks for linking up! x

  2. Great post. Think we're going to have to get an iPad mini again once Ethan's a bit older. 🙂 x

  3. I'm glad you like the Scout, I've bought the girly one for my niece for her birthday so nice to see a good review before I give her it x
