Rusty Rivets Botasaur | Review

I bet you’ve heard of Rusty Rivets, the fab cartoon that kids love? Jack really enjoys it – if you can dream it, you can build it – and Rusty Rivets certainly does. We were sent the Rusty Rivets Botasaur to review, enabling us to bring him to life just like Rusty does in the show.

Available for the standard retail price of £26.99, this toy is available now in most reputable toy stores including Amazon {affiliate link} and is for ages 3+. Batteries are included – something I know plenty of parents are thankful for when it comes to kids toys! You just need to open the compartment where his nose in to replace them.

What I loved about the toy from first impression was the fact that they really do let you build it yourself, just like Rusty Rivets would do! Jack was so excited about this – you can build him with legs or with the wheels which is great and makes him really adaptable. The Botasaur comes already built with his arms and legs but you can easily take him apart to add his wheels.

Part of a set of toys which are all interchangeable (all the different pieces can be used with all the different sets), the Botasaur is quite impressive. If he is on his wheels, you can roll him along or if he is on legs, you can walk him along. He can move a lot – his body is very flexible in that you can move his head, open his mouth, move his limbs and much more. You can also make his eyes flash different colours and make him make a number of different sounds including roars, vehicles and many more.

So what did we think? Jack had great fun putting the Botasaur together and taking it apart again. He also loved doing some imaginative play with it and his little sister who loved the sounds it made and the movements it could make.

The retail price is very good for the product you get. All too often, toys can be easily broken because of poor quality material or they don’t offer much in the way of actual play but this is not the case with the Rusty Rivets Botasaur. There is so much you can do with it.

Overall we were very impressed and Jack is keen to get other items in the set so he can play with them all together.
