Collaborative Post
It has been a long old year, hasn’t it? With two full lockdowns and a sort of lockdown under our belt here in the UK, the year has dragged on and many of us have found ourselves trying new things. Who remembers seeing everyone watching Tiger King or baking banana bread? I personally did Jimmy Carr’s YouTube quizzes everyday as well as doing monthly virtual murder mysteries. The past year really has been the perfect time to try something new from home.
However, I have also spent the last year taking a bit more care of myself. I may not be any lighter than I was last year (as eating junk and drinking gin was a lot of fun during lockdown), however I have been taking better care of my skin and general care and have been enjoying trying out different products as I go.
Before lockdown, I had a massively stocked cupboard of beauty bits and I banned myself from buying more until I had thoroughly depleted the collection. The time has finally come to restock my beauty cupboard so I wanted to talk a little more about the products I will be picking up to restock my cupboard.
Hand & Body Care
I have never taken as much care of my hands as I have in the past year. I think, like everyone, I have had times over the year where I’ve washed and sanitised my hands so much that they are red raw. I have been using some products I already had but am about to run out, so I am planning on picking up some Yope UK products. They do a fantastic gentle hand soap for washing and a lovely vanilla and cinnamon moisturising milk for hands and body which is exactly what my hands need! They also have a wonderful array of shower products which I am keen to try!

Skincare
Years ago, I was part of a blogger team who got to try out new skincare each month and that is something I truly miss. One such product I remember is a snail cream which I was wary to try – after all, it is made from snail secretions! However, it is one of the best skincare products I have ever tried so now that snail skincare is a little more popular, I plan on picking up some items such as the ones Mizon carry on the Notino site. They have a few interesting skincare products that I am looking forward to trying.
Makeup
Just before we moved into this house, I threw out a whole load of makeup because it was years old, and I had no clue if it was any good anymore. I don’t wear makeup that often so I didn’t know when the next time I would be wearing them would be!
I have started wearing a bit more makeup now as we start to come out of lockdown more and I am invited to a few more events. However, I am keen to pick up some new pieces such as the ones available from Collistar. I have already seen a few lipsticks I want to try!
Perfume
I love a good perfume, don’t you? I have slowly been using up of all my favourite perfumes and now is the time to find some new scents – or maybe go back to some old favourites. I definitely need to restock my fragrance collection with some new scents for summer – are there any you would recommend?
So, this is how I am planning on restocking my beauty cupboard. What beauty products are you currently on the look out for?

I have been buying a lot of perfume of late whoops! Have to admit though sometimes a nice scent really gives me a boost.
I’ve just added to my beauty stash as it was running low . Gets me excited to try out new bits too!
I need to toss some old makeup, too! If I don’t know how old it is, it needs to go.
