Would You Rather? Book Edition

I recently saw the wonderful Sally Akins do this post and I thought it would be a lot of fun, being the bookworm that I am. So here is the would you rather? book edition.

1. Read only trilogies or stand alones?
I do read a lot of trilogies – Hunger Games, Maze Runner, Divergent etc – but I much prefer stand alones. I really have to be into a series to read more than one book.

2. Read only male or female authors?
Whilst the majority of books I read are by female authors, I would never be able to read just female authors. Don’t make me choose.

3. Shop at book shops or Amazon?
I shop at book shops where and when I can but often order from Amazon for convenience.

4. All books become films or TV shows?
Definitely TV shows. Films cut things out or change the story entirely – at least with TV shows they can keep the main jist of the story in there, even if they do change a few things.

5. Read five pages a day or five books a week?
Five books a week. Five pages a day would drive me insane.

6. Be a professional reviewer or author?
Whilst I love reading and often post reviews, it would have to be author – its something I have always wanted to do.

7. Only read your top 20 books, or only ever read new books?
New books obviously – I would end up hating my favourites. That being said, I am currently re reading the Harry Potter series for the billionth time!

8. Be a librarian or a book seller?
It would have to be a bookseller. I have always loved the idea and having heard stories about Steve’s uncles bookshop, I would love to experience it myself!

9. Only read your favourite genre, or read every genre except your favourite?
Oh wow, this is difficult! I love reading across the genres but I possibly could just read murder mysteries for the rest of my life…would miss the other genres though!

10. Only read physical books or only read e-books?
I want to say physical books but e-books are so much more convenient. I really don’t know, I love them both!
