Looking after your car and keeping it safe can be very difficult sometimes. Even living in a small village we used to have trouble when we lived in our old place – we lived on the route back from the High Street where all the shops and pubs are so the local kids who ran riot or the people who had been down the pub had to go past our house on the way home and we often found a new scratch or dent on our car and even on the odd occasion had our wing mirror kicked off. Unfortunately at this time the CCTV couldn’t see far enough to see who it was that did it but we do know as they had been hanging around like a bad smell – we just couldn’t prove it!
My point is that you can live in the nicest of areas and yet still have problems with looking after your car. We luckily live in a really nice part of the village now and have no problems but are often hearing of people we know having trouble with theirs – whether its from vandals or others careless driving. We’ve all seen those vans and lorries trying to get down small gaps that they just won’t squeeze through and taking someones wing mirror off or scratching their paintwork in the process. Damage to our cars seems to be part and parcel to our lives as car owners and it really shouldn’t be.
However sometimes it isn’t vandals or careless driving we have to look our for – but the weather! We are extremely lucky enough to have both a garage and parking outside our house – we do currently use our garage as storage as we know that our car will be safe outside ours – but we have also been looking at the carports 123v have to offer. Designed to shelter cars from the elements, they are low maintenance and definitely something we would consider especially when you have no idea what way the weather is going to turn!
We try our best to keep our car from damage as best we can – we live in a nice area where nothing like that happens, we constantly check it for any new scrapes and we also know we have the garage to utilise if needs be but its handy to know we have other options too should the need arise.
