I was offered the chance to go and buy a bottle of Glenfiddich whisky as a Father’s Day gift – a surefire way to win Steve’s Dad over any day. You can see more pictures of my shopping trip and the process in my Google+ album here.
Steve’s Mum and Dad
My Dad
Unfortunately, we ran into a problem at the first shop we tried who wouldn’t allow us to take photographs, despite explaining why. We soon climbed over that hill, however, and popped to another shop close by to get the special present we needed. We finally picked it up in our local Sainsbury’s – we chose them because they were close by and we can always guarantee to find things easily, in a fresh and clean environment.
This shop was much easier and drama free, finding everything we needed within minutes of entering the shop – sign of a good, clean shop to me! Once we finally picked it up, we needed a hiding place to keep it until Father’s Day – it is inevitable Steve’s parents will pop round before then!
Family is of the utmost importance to us and the three men above are definitely people who we will be celebrating come Father’s Day. What better way is there to celebrate than with wee dram of whisky? Father’s Day is a tradition that all the family buys into – after all, family is what counts, right?
I included this video as I have found that the story behind the whisky is also what counts when picking one out for our Dad’s – this is an advert from a couple of years ago that I found on Youtube! We are often regaled with stories about Steve’s Dad and Godfather after a whisky fuelled lad’s night. Glenfiddich has a firm role in our families and I am sure it is here to stay!

Oh that's so annoying that they wouldn't let you take photos! There is a rule that some shops have that you can't take pictures of stock but I really don't know why.
I know 🙁
Haha Jack's sooooo cute <3 he wants that bottle!
:/ it's odd with the shops – some seem ok others don't but I mean who doesn't instagram weird things from supermarkets.
Hehe, I know!x
Visiting from I Love My Post! Thanks for co-hosting, as always!

My father in law loves Glenfiddich. 🙂
Think it must be a in law thing 😉
