Last week, I shared with you a post about my Christmas as part of Kerry’s Share It Sundays. This week, I am posting all about my New Year’s Resolutions. I also posted about my blogging goals here but this post is all about my personal goals.
1. Cut right down on alcohol. It isn’t like I actually drink that much, perhaps 2-3 times in a normal month but I am actually taking part in a challenge right now (post to come soon) so as not to exceed 2-3 times a week. The problem is months like December – there are numerous birthdays, Christmas meals, Christmas itself and then New Year; times where too much can be consumed. I’m giving my body a rest for a little while. There are only two times where I will be likely to drink this month: my blogger wine and beauty night with Emz and my birthday.
2. Declutter, declutter, declutter. Talking to Hannah recently has really spurred me on to just get rid. I have spent the past couple of days tidying up and throwing out stuff that I didn’t really need but held on to for stupid reasons. I’ve also really started to appreciate life a lot more since I also started to declutter my mind – trying not to let negativity get in the way. I have been on a Facebook and phonebook deleting spree, making arrangements with other friends to work on friendships and generally just being more happy in myself. Hannah’s group has really been helping.
3. Write the novel that I keep meaning to. I’ve had an idea for a while but have I got that idea down onto paper? Nope, because I keep procrastinating. This year will be the year I do it – even if I have to do Nanowrimo!
4. Complete my 2014 Christmas Comping Challenge. I posted about it here and I am aiming to get Christmas to cost no more than £100 through a variety of ways. I will be posting monthly updates so keep an eye out for that!
5. Operation No More Bank of Mum and Dad – Probably the most important one. Pay our parents back what we owe them, plus my lovely friend who helped us out of a tight spot.
What are your resolutions for 2014?

I have an identical novel writing aim on my list too, good luck! x
thanks, you too x
I'm working on a novel too, but I guess that can't be what's it considered since I've only written the first chapter in the last year. I do plan on writing it this year though!
good luck x
Will be stopping by to read your Chrsitmas Comping Posts, whilst joining in myself

That sounds like lots and lots of cutting back but maybe you should also think of a way to treat yourself too x #ShareItSundays
