I wear glasses 24/7. What started as a simple short-sightedness when I was younger has led to me having to wear glasses full time – people are often surprised at just how strong my glasses often are. Waking up in the morning often leads to some blurry confusion when I cannot locate my glasses in the place that I put them before bed.
Until recently, shamefully, I hadn’t gone to an opticians appointment since before Jack was born (2 years ago next month). This is really bad especially for someone with poor sight like mine. Since taking redundancy, going to the opticians has been top of my list so I was pleasantly surprised when I received an email asking if I’d like to try a pair of glasses from the MyOptique London Retro Glasses range and quickly took them up on their offer.
It took me a while to choose from the frames available but I finally settled for the Bakerloo frames. These were the pair that I think would be most suited to my face. I sent off my prescription and choice and received these within a week – brilliant turnaround time!
These frames are a purply-black with leopard print detail. These are slightly similar in design to my older glasses but enough of a departure for people to notice something different.
I feel super confident in these whether bare faced or in a full face of make up. I am very impressed. In the month that I have them, I have found no faults with the quality at all. I put them to the test for a whole month to see if the quality diminished in any way and I am glad to say that the quality hasn’t changed in the slightest.
I will definitely be visiting MyOptique for my next set of glasses and may try another design in the range.
The Bakerloo frames are currently retailing for £79 here.
Do you wear glasses? What kind of frames do you go for?

I absolutely love the frame shape, retro without being OTT. I don't wear glasses (although I am I have just over 50% vision in one eye, glasses won't help!) I did however spend a good 45 minutes in an opticians with my mum helping her to choose frames last month so I know what a chore it can be, but you chose well! Will bookmark the website for when my mum next needs frames as these are cheaper than hers were!

I wear glasses and contacts. I am blind as a bat! Love the frame good choice.
thanks x
The frames are way cool. And my glasses are the first thing I put on in the morning, and the last thing I take off at night. Oh to be able to see without eyeglasses.

thank you x
They suit you very well but I prefer thin rims on my frames- my face is really not made for glasses -i haven't found any which don't make me look ridiculous
thanks x
I like that you tested them for a month! My daughter has glasses similar to these and she loves them. Thank you for hosting the Love my Post hop!
no problem!
They are a very nice style. I do wear glasses but only for reading and using my laptop (and sometimes I still forget) I really should get to the opticians though and get my eyes tested again
