Collaborative Post
After some uncertainty, there finally seems to be some movement when it comes to our home situation. Hopefully we won’t be in this place for too much longer and that has got me thinking about some new home must haves for when we move.
We already know that we are looking to get a new sofa, new bedroom furniture and maybe even a new bed or two – providing finances allow it – but what about the little bits for around the home? Here’s a few of my new home must haves.
New Throws
We have a couple of throws that we use for the sofa but they are getting a little old and tatty and to be frank, the dogs have sort of claimed them for their own. It would be nice to invest in some brand new ones for a brand new sofa as these ones have certainly seen their best days.
Some Home Fragrance
I love home fragrance – anyone who knows me can tell you that. I used to work in retail in a shop that sells home fragrance products and I still haven’t finished working my way through them!
That said, I am a sucker for new home fragrance products and I love the look of these Tea Light Wax Burners from A Melt In Time. They are stunning, sleek and affordable too. They also have a wonderful range of Luxury Wax Melts with some incredible scents. We love Black Cherry scents in our household – what scents do you like?
Cushions
I don’t know about you but I can sometimes feel super uncomfortable on a sofa. Depending on the type of sofa we end up getting – ours is falling apart and is so not comfortable anymore -, we may need some cushions to help it look good and be more comfortable. My friend has the most slouchy comfortable sofa but if you sit for it too long without a cushion, your back won’t thank you! I can’t wait to get some fab cushions in some cool designs to suit our home.
Bookshelves
We have a few bookshelves in our home but we could definitely do with some more. Jack and I are proper bookworms and whilst Olivia isn’t quite there yet, she has quite a collection of books that continues to grow! It’ll be nice to get some new bookshelves to showcase our book collections on.
Smart Devices
We have an Alexa in our current property and we also have a Ring doorbell. However we have been keen to expand the amount of smart devices we have in our home. We would love to try out some smart lightbulbs and even a smart thermostat! It seems there are more and more smart devices coming onto the market nowadays, don’t there?
These are just a few bits I want to buy for our new home when we finally make it there. It has been a long hard slog but I am hoping that I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. What things would you want for a new home?
