If you’re anything like me then you like to change up how your house looks and feels when it comes to winter. I like to make things a little more cosy – blankets and throws in the living room, candles and reed diffusers going. Do you like to make your house more cosy?
Here are my top tips for making a bedroom cosy this winter – and thanks to Bed Guru, this was made possible with the fab kit they sent. Their #CosyWinterBed campaign saw us being sent a fabulous fluffy blanket, some comfy thermal socks and a gift set so you can snuggle under the blanket in bed and keep all warm and cosy.
So what would be my top tips for making a bedroom more cosy this winter?
- Use blankets and throws – The grey fluffy blanket has been so handy on those colder nights as its so warm and comfy. The problem is having to share with Steve.
- Hot drinks – I try not to have any drinks but water in our bedroom but if I am retiring to bed early but know I won’t be going straight to sleep, I may take up a mug of tea or hot chocolate as nothing beats sipping a hot beverage whilst snuggled all warm and cosy.
- Light some scented candles – Not only do they smell great but the flame will also slightly heat up the room too. Of course, the heat won’t be that significant but the scents, warmth and light will all work together to make a super cosy atmosphere.
- Change up your lighting – I actually haven’t used the LED lights in our room as Steve really isn’t keen, he doesn’t want the room to be ‘too girly’ but I may use them in Jack’s room as he seems quite keen!
- Fluffy cushions – As well as the blankets and/or throws, fluffy cushions are a great accessory for making a comfy and cosy atmosphere in your bedroom this winter.
