You will probably have seen that I love unique little things, especially for around the home. Over the years we have bought and reviewed stuff like lights, cushions, glassware and various homewares. We were recently asked if we would like to review a fun corkscrew and I just had to say yes.
I love a good bottle of wine – as does Steve – and who doesn’t love a good glass of champagne or prosecco? I have a couple of corkscrews at home but they are all so boring. When you are entertaining, you want something a little more special and this is where this specific corkscrew comes in.
The Corkscrew Unicorn is made from beech wood and stainless steel – the unicorn head itself is made from the beech wood and the corkscrew is made from stainless steel.
It is quite diminutive in size but don’t let the size fool you – it is the perfect size for opening a bottle of wine and is incredibly sturdy. We love unicorns in our house and Olivia absolutely adores it – although isn’t actually allowed near it due to the corkscrew part!
It is very easy to store and feels good in your hand. It is also incredibly lightweight which is great from a corkscrew – I hate those heavy fiddly ones with bottle openers on top – why do you need one of those when you’ve got small corkscrews like this that do the job – and do the job better?
