Macarons Galore

I recently saw a tweet put out by the lovely people behind Macarons Galore asking for bloggers to review their macarons. Always one for some yummy treats, I registered my interest and was excited to be asked for my address. A couple of days later, I then received a red card through the door from the postman – no knock on the door, nothing. I had things to do round the house so asked Steve to pick up the mystery parcel from the Post Office on his way home. He arrived home with a battered box that said fragile – yes, despite it saying fragile all over it my local postal workers seemed to think that was to be ignored!

I quickly opened it and found these lurking inside – packaged so beautifully but slightly smashed from their journey with my less than careful posties. I quickly grabbed the camera and took this picture before Steve decided I was taking too long and promptly tucked in. We had half of each one each and I have to say, we were very impressed. Steve tends to avoid macarons but found that these were just right – they smelled amazing, were sweet but soft and packed full of flavour. I don’t have macarons on a regular basis but I may have to make an exception now…

Macarons Galore is run by Benedicte and you can find her Facebook page here. Macarons are £1.50 each and the minimum you can order is 5. They also offer bespoke orders for weddings, parties etc but do need 2 weeks advance warning. If you are looking for some yummy homemade sweet treats, these are definitely for you.
