Week 7 of our lockdown linky and I’m back here again, answering those questions and seeing how you are all getting on. Be sure to check out Sarah’s post and also check out the other people linking up too! So how has my week been?

1) How are you feeling/coping?
I’m starting to feel a little overwhelmed if I am being perfectly honest. I know there will eventually be an end to this but right now, it doesn’t seem like there is an end in sight and that is slightly overwhelming. Hope this makes sense.
2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?
Reading, working, looking after the kids etc
3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?
I’m ok, I’ve popped to the shops a couple of times and also gone for a few walks.
4) What advice do you have for others?
Stay at home and keep safe. Same as I say every week.
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
I bought some sweets from a local business, Yum Gum Sweets – they were so good!
6) How has your routine been this week? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)
A bit all over the place again.
7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)
Friends coming round for a BBQ but that’s about it.
What has your week looked like?

It is hard to believe we are into week 7 of the linky, I know what you are feeling with feeling overwhelmed by it all, I do keep telling myself the end of it will be here soon and we can start living a normal life again
I think that the most overwhelming thing is wondering how we are going to get back to any kind of normal. Staying safe is so much my priority. Look after yourself.
You are doing ever so well. Walks out are good, it blows the cobwebs away, and as for sweets, yum!
I can’t wait to have a BBQ with friends. They only live up the road so we can almost hear each other from our gardens. It’s torture for the kids.
By May 31st, we would have been on lock down for 76 days. We are coping so far. I am the only one that has a quarantine pass so it is my responsibility to go to the grocery, bank, drugstore, and wet market. No public transportation so I either walk or bike to places I need to go to. Actually, I don’t even have plans on what to do after this pandemic (if it will ever end.) All I know is that I miss my grandson soooooooooo much.
I am struggling with food during all this. I have lost all interest in meals and eating, but snacking all the time, just so bored with the constant catering, feels like xmas and I am living in the kitchen catering for the family 24/7.
I think these last couple of weeks have just been the same now, I’m still at work but the patterns with everything has become a new norm for many, there’s still away to go though I’m afraid.
I am glad that you have managed to pop out to the shops. also love how you have done a few walks too xx
Sweets oh my gosh I love sweets – let me know what they are like haha! I know what you mean about feeling overwhelmed.
I think for everyone the last couple of weeks are just repeating for us. But it’s a good thing that you guys find ways to keep outselves busy and productive during the quarantine.
I can definitely relate to feeling overwhelmed I think for me it is the realisation sinking in that the normality we once knew wont be returning any time soon (if at all) and that feels pretty crap! My routine has been up in the air too, we have basically abandoned school work this week and instead just focused on our happiness and wellbeing (well tried too anyway!). Hope your ok x
We are in week 10 of lockdown and kind of staying that way for now. I will be interested to see how things go as they lift stuff, not entirely convinced it’s been handled at all well but that’s another rant for another day. I do think normal will come back but we have to work to that and the concept of that makes my head spin!
