Life In A Lockdown {Linky} – Week 48

You may have noticed that myself and Sarah took a break from the linky the past few weeks. Sarah hasn’t been feeling herself and asked if I would mind taking a break and of course I didn’t mind!

We’re back today and if you haven’t seen one of these posts before, let me tell you a little about it.

If this is your first time seeing this linky, then you may not know that the idea came from Sarah and Jenni and Sarah kindly asked me to come on board!

If you would like to join in, the rules for linking up are super simple. All we ask is that you link back to me and Sarah within your post as we are the hosts offering a linky for you to share your post. All you need to do is answer the questions in a blog post, publish it then submit your link via the InLinkz tool at the bottom of the post.

Here are the questions:

1) How are you feeling/coping?

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 dats?

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come, what would it be?

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

1. How are you feeling/coping?

I am doing ok. The roadmap last week has got me feeling a little more positive as long as we keep to the rules. With the kids going back to school, I will also have more time to work!

2. What have you been up to over the last 7 days?

Well as we have been in lockdown still, not much. Homeschooling, working, reading. Taking the dog for a walk. Also we had to take one of the rats, Ash, to the vets at the weekend because he had a swollen back paw, could not bear weight on it and was squeaking a lot if Pikachu got near it – it was at least twice the size of the other back paw!

They weren’t sure if it was a sprain or an infection so gave us painkillers and antibiotics to give him. As of Monday evening when I am writing this, he is now bearing weight on the paw, it has gone back down to normal size and he isn’t shrieking whenever Pikachu goes near it. We will finish the course of antibiotics and hopefully everything remains okay – although we still aren’t sure what happened!

3. What do you think the coming weeks (or months) might hold for you (or the world)?

Well with the roadmap to come out of lockdown, I am hopeful I will be able to see some of the people I love. I also am looking forward to having more time to work with the kids back to school!

4. If you could remind yourself something about this in years to come, what would it be?

That these were crazy times and should not be played down in years to come.

5. What have you bought this week that others might like?

I’m not too sure! I’m always buying books though!

6. What is a unique (or not!) technique you have used to get through this time?

The past few weeks I have been reading a lot!

7. What is something your readers might not know about you?

I think I have covered pretty much everything already! However did you know I have shared some of my poetry on this site?

8. What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

Family and books, definitely!

  1. I think the roadmap has got a lot of people feeling positive and I agree as long as people stick to how we’ve been there’s no reason as to why it won’t work, the thing is people have already decided to take things into their own hands *sighs* but I’m looking forward to it. I bet it’s a slight relief to have the kids going back to school for a lot of parents x

  2. Hope both you and Sarah are well, a break is always a good thing, especially at the moment! Oddly enough, I’m feeling quite excited about being able to work more now schools are reopening. I haven’t been able to complete one chore from start to finish without distraction or interruption in a long while! Good to hear Ash the rat’s paw is getting better now! Sim x

  3. Yes, the roadmap is really helping me too, the thoughts that it is only 2 or 3 months until I can see people and such is amazing. Mich x

  4. I am glad you guys are back this week because I love reading these self-interviews. I am excited about the lockdown roadmap too.

  5. Yes, we’ve definitely been through crazy times. I think we’ve lived through a really memorable time, I guess we’ve been at war with an invisible illness, to be honest.
