Life In A Lockdown {Linky} – Week 35

Week 35 of our lockdown linky and we are coming out of lockdown this week into tiers. My area is Tier 2, how about yours?

This linky was born from an idea by Jenni and Sarah, I was super happy to come on board and take you along on the journey too. It has been nice sharing my weekly thoughts and feelings with you all.

The rules for linking up with us are pretty simple. All we ask is that you link back to me and Sarah in your post as we are the hosts and then answer the questions that we too answer every week. This week we have updated the questions to fit these new times so I’d love to see a few more of you joining up. Once you’ve added your post, submit it via the Inlinkz tool at the bottom of the post!

Here are the most recent questions:

1) How are you feeling/coping?
2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?
3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?
4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?
5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.
6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?
7) What is something your readers might not know about you?
8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

So how has the past week been for me?

1) How are you feeling/coping?

I’m not going to lie – this week has been horrific. One of my best friends passed away on Saturday and I don’t think it has quite sunk in yet. A few of us have been checking in on each other and talking about our memories of her. We will never forget her and she will always be our Wonder Woman.

2) What have you been up to over the past 7 days?

Reading, working, entering competitions, checking in on friends.

3) What do you think the coming weeks and months might hold for you (or the world)?

I honestly have no idea.

4) If you could remind yourself something about this time in years to come what would it be?

Who my true friends are and how we all come together in times of sadness and difficulty.

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

Nothing this week.

6) What is a unique (or not) technique you have used to get you through this time?

Reading this past week. This week it will be back to murder mysteries and advent competitions (don’t forget to check out mine & Sarah’s!)

7) What is something your readers might not know about you?

Oh I don’t know! Maybe that I really like entering competitions?

8) What have you been grateful for over the past 7 days?

My friends.

  4. Oh my days, I am ever so sorry to hear about your friend. However so glad to hear you have a good support network to get each other through this. I’m hearing of far too many people passing away recently, it’s certainly closer to home now which is making it all a little harder. Not having the chance to see my parents in over a year is getting to me now. We have to keep going though love x

  5. I saw you post the other day, so very sad I am glad you have a good support network where you can talk about things x

I believe I am also in tier 2 too. I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. It can take a while for these things to sink in. Sending hugs xxx

  7. Years and Years ago i used to enter thousands of competitions via a site called loquax. Not many people used to enter so I would win all kinds. I’ve won holidays, Tvs etc I really miss it sometimes.

  8. I am so sorry to hear about your friend, these times sure are tough at the moment. We are on tier 4 at the moment which isn’t easy.

  11. So sorry to hear about your friend, hope you friend the strength to remember all the wonderful memories of each other. Also agree about discovering who your true friends are during lockdown as some fade away while others do make an effort to stay in touch.

  12. Symon Oliveira Santos says:

I’m sorry about your friend, I also lost family members.

I honestly don’t know much what to say. I had plans that didn’t worked, my depression got worse, I’m broke, I actually draw, I have plans, but no money to make it go forward as my art tools are ending, I also don’t have a laptop /pc since 2013, sometimes I wish the world would end at the end of the year.

  13. Sorry to hear about your friend passing away. I lost a close friend a month or so ago. It is a difficult experience to deal with at any time but it does feel harder at the moment, with not being able to spend time with other close friends to console each other.

  14. I’m sorry to hear about your friend, what an awful thing to happen. I hope you are doing okay xx
