Life In A Lockdown {Linky} – Week 11

Wow, week 11 already? Can you believe it? It seems like just yesterday Sarah came to me with the concept and I said yes, let’s do this. Credit goes to Jenni from Lyrical Host {affiliate link} too as she kickstarted the idea!

So how has my week gone? Let’s see!

1) How are you feeling/coping?

Still surviving on a lack of sleep because of Buddy but I am getting little naps here and there where I can, haha! Other than that, I am feeling okay – especially because I saw my mum properly for the first time in months as she came round to ours and socially distanced in the garden. It felt so good and the kids loved seeing her. Steve works with her – they both have keyworker roles – so he has seen her constantly but I hadn’t seen her except for her dropping some shopping at our house every now and again. It was really tough for me as I usually see her every day if possible – especially since my Dad died.

2) What are you doing to keep yourself occupied?

Keeping up with Buddy mainly, haha! Seeing my mum, seeing a friend who came round to socially distance in the garden, reading, working.

3) How are you dealing with everything at the moment – are you self-isolated, going out for essentials etc? Has this changed?

I am tired and I am fed up but I am getting on with things as best as I can.

4) What advice do you have for others?

Stay at home and keep safe. Same as I say every week. My advice won’t be changing until we are out of lockdown so this answer will always read the same!

5) What have you bought this week that others might like? Especially if from a small business.

A new hammock for the rats so the other one can be washed, a playpen set up for them so they can run around having fun – especially when we are cleaning out their cage -, a collage photo frame for our Disney photos (will share a photo when we’ve filled it up!) and some Father’s Day gifts. This will be my 4th Father’s Day since my Dad died and it doesn’t get any easier so I have busied myself with getting stuff sorted for Steve and reminding him to get stuff for his Dad.

6) How has your routine been this week? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

It has been okay actually – Steve takes Buddy out if he needs the toilet in the middle of the night, then I get up with him around 5.30am-6am and take him down again before we go back to bed for a bit. I then get up with him around 7am-7.30am, take him outside, have a little play and make his breakfast. He then likes to cuddle with me and snooze so I catch up with some blogs, Instagram or do any quick work I need to and watch some TV before everyone else comes down and it is a rush of breakfast, home learning, tablet time and more.

We’ve also established a set time for mealtimes – Buddy has his specific times and at dinner time, we have a specific time for everyone – kids first then when they’ve eaten, I dish up Buddy’s. Once he’s eaten his, I do Ash and Pikachu’s. Then that leaves me and Steve free to eat after or later if we aren’t hungry then.

7) Have you planned anything for once lockdown is over in the past 7 days?? (Question by Don’t Cramp My Style)

Just seeing some friends pretty much. I just want to see their faces!

How has your life in lockdown been this week? Please do link up with us below but please remember to link to both me and Sarah in your post, thanks!
