I recently applied to become a World Book Night book giver and I always love looking at the site after the events of the previous day and evening and seeing just what fancy dress outfits people have worn to showcase their favourite reads.
I love dressing up in fancy dress and am loving that there are cute little outfits that Jack can dress up in too. I really don’t dress up for occasions often enough!

I like to read to Jack as often as possible. He may not always understand the words or the story but he has fun looking at the pictures and will usually sit there nicely until the very end – unless something distracts him! I am planning on reading The Gruffalo to him in the next few weeks, he has Gruffalo pyjamas which he loves and although he hasn’t seen the whole thing, he was interested in the film from the snippets that he has seen. I also plan on buying him The Very Hungry Caterpillar – what child’s book collection doesn’t include that?
Jack is a little too young to play dress up now, but there are a myriad of world book day costumes online at fancydressball.co.uk for whatever your child should decide to go to school as on 1st March, so get picking! Of course, you don’t need to have a child to dress up – fancy dress is something for everyone!
