Stress is a killer. Literally. Too much stress can cause a variety of ailments including heart attacks and strokes. So it is important that we do not let stress get on top of us.
Why not try to make your life as stress free as possible? Whether you are looking for a beard trim near me, stress free moving (learn more here), you are freaking out about medical bills (find out more about hospital finance news to keep you updated) or some repairs are on your mind, we can help.
Here are our top tips.
Exercise
Stress is a killer, we’ve already discussed this. But something that can reduce stress whilst also making you healthier and boosting your mood is exercise. Get out at least once a day, doing something you enjoy such as walking, running or even yoga. You will certainly feel the benefits and your stress levels will definitely reduce.
Studies have found that those taking part in regular exercise significantly reduced their perceived stress. Why wouldn’t you want to do this?
Take Time Away From Technology
One of the biggest causes of stress is trying to keep up with the Jones’. We all see these picture perfect people on social media who seem to have the perfect lives and we stress ourselves out trying to be as ‘perfect’ as they are. They’re not perfect, no one is.
Social media on technology and technology itself is a big cause of stress. Too much screen time can be extremely detrimental to both our physical and mental health, affecting our sleep and our moods among many other things.
Look After Yourself
You are already doing something good for yourself by exercising regularly but you can also keep your stress levels down by indulging in some self care every once in a while.
There are so many ways that you can practice self care – pampering yourself with a bubble bath and some face masks is a great one. However just settling down with a good book, getting an early night or having a massage can also be great choices of self care.
Don’t Do Anything You Don’t Want To
With the perception that we have to keep up with our peers so as not to feel left out, we often find ourselves doing things we don’t want to because of this. This does nothing to help our stress levels as we are putting ourselves through things we dislike simply because we feel we have to! By choosing not to do anything you don’t want to do, you will certainly see your stress levels decrease.
Get Outside
One of my favourite things to do when I am feeling stressed is to get outside. A walk in my favourite woods near me always does wonders for my mental health and my stress levels. Just by being out in the fresh air with so many wonderful scents, I find myself feeling less stressed.
These are my top tips for keeping your life stress free. Do you have any?
