With Jack starting Reception last week, we spent much of the summer making his bedroom more grown up and more him. He got a new bed, new bedding and completely moved his room around to how he wanted it. We decluttered lots of clothes, toys and books and it finally seems the perfect bedroom for an almost five year old boy.
What he didn’t have though was a door sign – and whilst Jack has since decided it isn’t to go on his door and instead by his bed, we were recently asked if we would like to review any of the Beatrix Potter range from I Just Love It… to celebrate the 150th birthday of Beatrix Potter. Jack opted for the personalised Peter Rabbit door sign (£9.99) and we couldn’t wait to receive it and see what it looked like.
Measuring in at 10x15cm, each door sign comes personalised with any name you want and an extract from an original Peter Rabbit book. Jack is a big Peter Rabbit fan and this quote actually sums both Peter and Jack up well – Jack can be a very tired bubba sometimes too! The plaque is wooden and great quality – you would think it would be easily susceptible to chipping but its bearing up well.
The signs come in pink or blue and each has an adorable illustration printed onto them. The illustrations are absolutely stunning and Jack instantly knew it was Peter Rabbit when he spotted it.
Jack absolutely adores his door sign – the quality of both the wood and the printed wording and illustration are second to none – and is already talking about getting one for our baby girl when she’s here. What he hasn’t realised is that she will actually need her own room for a door sign, haha – unless he wants to share his room!
We are very impressed with the quality of the door sign and have been taking a look at some of the other products on the I Just Love It… website – we shall definitely be making some of our Christmas list purchases from there this year, there seems to be something for everyone!
