Jack’s Bedroom Wishlist

With Jack now four and at nursery school (and hopefully soon to be at infants school), he has really come into his own and knows what he wants. Having visited numerous friends houses recently he has told me of a few things he wants in his bedroom that his friends have and so with him, I have compiled a bedroom wishlist.

We are quite restricted on what we can do in this privately rented accommodation although we were given some leeway to redecorate a little whether that be by painting the walls a different colour or opting for wallpaper. We’ve been looking at the Your Walls website for some design ideas and Jack has already seen some wallpaper he is keen on if we do decide to wallpaper his room. The brand is a UK based company who offer high-end personalised wallpaper for homes & businesses – and Jack is certainly impressed! He is especially in love with the image below!

We’ve moved Jack’s room around a lot over the years and now we really need to update it for him. He definitely needs to get a new bed and he is really keen on getting one of those toy hammocks that hang from the ceiling for his cuddly toys. This would certainly be okay with me as I am getting fed up with constantly having to tidy them up when he’s literally thrown them all over the room!

More storage is always needed especially as he grows older so we are planning on picking up some of the canvas boxes you can see in the picture below to hold more of his toys. These ones are currently holding both toys and cuddly toys and are overflowing!

Jack is also keen for a bedside table to put his bottle of water and book on at night. He actually keeps asking me to move mine into his room! Right now he has to put anything he may need during the night by the side of his bed so that’s definitely something we need to look into getting.

So there you have it – we need some storage, some practical elements such as a bedside table and some new wallpaper. I’m going to make it my aim to turn Jack’s room into a room fit for a four year old before the end of summer…do you think I can do it?
