How To Get The Perfect Images & Videos For Your Content

Collaborative Post

Whether you are a blogger taking photos for your site, a YouTuber filming your videos or you’re big on TikTok, you will want to ensure you have got the right tools for the job. You mentioned recently that you would like to see more content centred around blogging including tips and tricks and the best products to use.

So what do you need to get the perfect images and videos for your content?

A Good Camera

Whilst a good camera on its own is preferable, it is no lie to say that there are many phones out on the market right now that can take photos that are just as good – or perhaps even better!

Get to know your camera and/or your phone a little better to figure out what settings work best for you and your content.

A Decent Ring Light & Stand

If you are using your phone, then you will want a good tripod stand to put your phone on so you can go hands free. A ring light is also important to light you or the thing you are photographing/filming perfectly.

This TONOR TRL-20 12” Ring Light with Tripod Stand truly fits the bill. It has a dimmable ring light with three different colour modes so you can figure out which one works best for you – as well as ten brightness levels. If you have a theme that is cohesive across all of your content then work out which of these modes and/or levels is closest. It also has a span life of 20000H.

The stand itself is super durable and has anti-slip rubber which makes it more stable plus you can adjust the base of the light freely to get the perfect angle and also has four retractable sections so you can adjust the height.  Lastly, the set also comes up with an included Bluetooth remote shutter to help you to easily take selfies or record videos of yourself.

A Theme

As I mentioned above in the section about ring lights, some people have a theme for their sites or channels that is cohesive across all of their content and socials. I don’t necessarily have a theme on my socials but I am slowly developing a theme across my sites and I hope to keep this going. If you like having some form of structure when it comes to creating content, imagery and videography, then definitely consider having a theme.

A Good Eye

Finally you definitely need a good eye. You want to be able to see if things work before they make it onto or into your content. This may mean taking multiple shots and video clips before getting rid of those which don’t quite make the cut and using the best out of the bunch. A good eye helps you to determine the best imagery and videography before it goes live.

These are my top tips for getting the perfect images and videos for your content but do remember that I am just one person and there are plenty more tips and tricks out there.
