Have you ever wondered what home improvements add value to your home and which are great but don’t really add any value at all? Tile Mountain have got a fab infographic that details some home improvements that add value to your home and compared those in the UK to both the US and Australia.
It is really interesting to see which home improvements are more country specific and those which are global – seems we all like to get a kitchen extension or renovating bathrooms!

I’ve spoken on the blog before about what we would do if we owned our home and I must admit that most of the things on the UK list have crossed our mind at least once each! After all, getting a new conservatory fitted is a great way to add value, but at the same time even new windows can make a drastic difference too. If you’re on the fence about whether to make any of the above improvements, it helps to look up a contractor’s previous projects as this is a great way for you to see what they are capable of, and whether or not the style would suit your home. From there, you can then make a decision as to whether or not an addition makes sense for you and your family.
Are there any here that you’re shocked about? Anything you thought would be more country specific or something you thought would be more globally done?
