I mentioned yesterday that the kids love Funko and so they were vey excited to see this exciting new line of collectible card games from Funko and Disney. For ages 6+, the game is for 2-4 players and takes around 15 minutes to play.

Described as an exciting twist on classic trick-taking card games, they feature some of the world’s favourite Disney characters and each comes with a Funko Pop! Vinyl figure in a mini Pop! size (roughly 2 inches tall), making them collectible too!
Olivia especially was very excited to see ours arrive – she is obsessed with Disney princesses and loved that we received the Ariel card game! There are six different packs – Toy Story with a Woody figure, Mickey and Friends with a Mickey Mouse figure, The Nightmare Before Christmas with a Jack Skellington figure, The Little Mermaid with an Ariel figure, Aladdin with a Genie figure and Disney Villains with a Maleficent figure.

With 45 character cards (these are numbered 1-9 and come in 5 different colours), 10 power cards and the Pop! figure, gameplay is quick and fun. Olivia is a little too young for the game as it is aimed at ages 6+ but she was keen to give it a go regardless. Jack being 8 found it much easier and really enjoyed it.
The aim of the game is to be the first player to create a set by scoring three powers or create a run. This where you have three cards of any colour with the same number (set) or three cards of the same colour with the numbers in order (run – much like a normal card game!). With every player starting with three character cards, you play a card and if you play one that is the same colour as the power card, you take possession of the Pop! figure, in our case Ariel. This means that if you have the figure, you can use that active Power card. The first player to reach a set or run takes a power card and the first to three wins – however you can only have 5 cards in front of you at any one time so may have to discard some.

The kids really enjoyed playing this card game and are keen to collect the others in the range. What is even better is that you can combine the sets to make it even more fun – so you can mix and match the characters!
You can buy the Something Wild! card games from Amazon {affiliate link}, Game and many major retailers.

This sounds like a fab game and the characters are adorable too! Over lockdown we found a love for games we could play as a family and this sounds like a great game for family to play together!
It looks so lovely and interesting! I think I am going to buy it for my niece, her birthday is coming soon and I had no idea what to get her.
This sounds like a good game for family game night. I think it would make a great stocking stuffer for the holidays.
I can see if you are a Disney fan these would be great to have. Great game for kids and th perfect stocking filler. Games like this teach a whole load of skills such as taking turns, rules, how to lose graciously. (I don’t really understand Funkos though but maybe it’s because I’m old!)
This sounds like a really lovely game. Mine would probably enjoy playing this. My middle child loves the little mermaid.
