We were sent a playset for review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Do your kids love building things and playing with them? Then the Flynova Trailblazer playset is probably the playset for them!
What Is The Flynova Trailblazer?
It is a flexible DIY track playset. It is for children young and old to piece together and design amazing loops and courses. They can make them as loopy or as long as they like. The tracks and race cars are mainly made from non toxic and drop resistant materials. The design also means there are no sharp edges.
I’ve talked a lot about how I encourage my children to use STEM toys as they are good for helping kids to learn. It is a great STEM toy as it is really hands-on. The great thing about this is that you can play it by yourself or with friends.
The tracks fit together easily and are incredibly versatile so you can assemble and disassemble with ease and don’t have to worry about the track collapsing every single time. The Flynova Trailblazer is an incredible playset and we couldn’t wait to give it a try!

What Do You Get & What Do You Need?
I was sent a Grand Prix Pack – it contains 200 track pieces, 2 track bases, 2 race cars alongside an additional 100 track pieces.
The playset requires 3 AAA batteries which are not included. You will need a screwdriver to open the battery compartment to pop them in.
What Can I Expect?
The playset does allow for DIY tracks so you can have a thrilling time playing with it. However there are also some basic tricks that you can try too.
These include:
- The Everest – Rush and climb over the peak without stopping or getting stuck.
- Infinity Loop – Form a flat, diagonal or looping closed loop circuit and enjoy watching it run in a continuous motion.
There are also some advanced tricks too. These include:
- Loop-the-Loop – Build multiple 360° or 180° loops depending on the number of track pieces you have.
- The Chasedown – 2 or more race cars can be contestants for an epic chasedown race.
They also shared some brand new tricks that Jack has been trying out. They are so cool!

What We Thought
We really liked how flexible it is – Jack loves building and constructing but he likes to do his own thing. The Flynova Trailblazer is so versatile and flexible and has enabled him to build a variety of fantastic courses!
It was extremely easy to assemble. My playset didn’t come with an instruction manual however due to it’s DIY nature, it was pretty easy to put together.
The set is perfect for all ages – Jack and Olivia have been loving playing together and building different courses. Olivia is only four and can be a little clumsy so it has been good to see just how durable the pieces are.
Jack has been keen to get it outside as the set is great for using outside however we haven’t had the opportunity to use it due to the awful weather we have been having.
Where Can I Buy One?
There are three packs of Flynova Trailblazer available for purchase. These are the Junior Race Pack, the Champion’s Pack and the Grand Prix Pack. We received the Grand Prix playset and really enjoyed playing with it. There is no limit to how creative you can be! The difference between the packs is the number of track pieces, track bases and race cars provided.
As well as the playsets, you can also purchase a variety of add-on accessories so you can expand your courses even more. You can back the IndieGogo campaign here – they ship the product worldwide!

I’ve not heard of this toy before. It sounds like it makes for a lot of fun. I’m sure my son would love one for Christmas.
My friends kids would love this as they can both build it and then play with it x
We love STEM toys and this sounds like lot of fun. I’ve never heard of it before but it looks like something I’m kids would have fun playing with.
This looks good fun. It reminds me of being young and my brother and dad building massive tracks on Christmas morning for us all to play race games. Great memories!
I love a STEM toy, especially one that will engage both of my children at the same time.
I have never actually heard of this but it looks so cool. The girls would be so interested in this
This is a new one for me but it does look like great fun
