We were sent a Fisher-Price Imaginext Power Rangers Morphin Megazord for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
Jack is a massive Power Rangers fan and couldn’t have been more ecstatic to be given the chance to review this Megazord. Even Olivia has had plenty of fun getting involved with the play.
This Fisher-Price Imaginext Power Rangers Morphin Megazord is suitable for ages 3-8 and retails at £74.99. Jack is right in the middle of the perfect age range for this. The Megazord is what the Power Rangers turn into when they megamorph.
The toy has a multitude of features. These include 4 activation Power Pads so kids can control the action – if you turn the left shoulder pad, the chest opens, the eyes light up and the cannon pops out. If you turn the one in the chest, it fires Power Coins! The pad above the left knee raises the projectile launcher and all you need to do is push the button to fire. Finally the pad above the right knee activates a chomping action.
If you think that the front of the Megazord is where all the action is, then you couldn’t be more wrong. The back of the playset features a jail, a meeting area and even an elevator. It has multiple levels and platforms too. Bet you also didn’t realise that you can fit one of the figures in the back of the Megazord’s head?
The playset itself includes the Morphin Megazord, the Red and Black Power Rangers figures, 6 Power Coins and 7 Power Missiles.
So what did we think?
Well as I mentioned before, both Jack and Olivia had lots of fun playing with the Megazord. Jack has played for hours upon hours and days upon days with this playset since receiving it – it is his favourite toy to play with right now. I will be doing something else and hear him making up stories, sometimes based on episodes he has seen and other times that he has made up himself. Apparently the Power Rangers recently came across their biggest villain yet in the form of his baby sister Olivia, haha! Jack absolutely loves the Megazord and is very grateful he was given the opportunity to review it.
What did I think? Well, given that this is in the higher price range of what I would pay for a toy or playset, I went in with very high expectations and this met them and more. There is so much to see and do on the Megazord that a child can never be bored and there are so many different stories that you can make up – including one with Olivia as the world’s biggest super villain!
