We spend a lot of time at home, Olivia and I, around her clubs and playgroups so as you can imagine, lots of children’s TV gets watched as well as lots of playing with toys.
One of her new favourites has been Waffle the Wonder Dog, available to watch on CBeebies. Waffle the Wonder Dog focuses around an adorable and lost fluffy puppy, who can’t help but cause trouble, has an undying desire to befriend next door’s cat and is on a crash course to cementing the Brooklyn-Bell blended family!
With her newfound love in mine, we were recently sent the Everybody’s Best Friend Waffle soft toy to review. He comes packaged in a lovely open display box, making it the perfect gift for Christmas. Not only does he speak – in Waffle’s voice from the show – but he also barks and sings. There are three different ways you can make him do this – you can pat his head, squeeze his paw or press his tummy.
There are fourteen different phrases and Waffle even plays some of the theme tune which Olivia adores! Waffle comes with batteries included and is dressed in his iconic red collar with paw prints. He is suitable for ages 10 months plus but retailers recommend him for ages 3 and above.
So what did Olivia think of Waffle?
Simply put, she’s been carrying him around EVERYWHERE. He is so soft and cuddly that she’s thought nothing of cuddling up with him to watch the show on TV or when she has a nap. She’s been giggling away at the different phrases he says and the movements he makes.
He’s a wonderful addition to her toy collection and a great companion for when she watches the show on CBeebies.
If you are looking for a lovely present for a toddler this Christmas, this would make a wonderful gift, especially for massive Waffle fans like Olivia. She’s been playing with him non stop since she received him and he truly is her best friend.

I really love that it moves and makes different sounds, it also looks very real with the fur and everything, soo cute!
This is such an adorable plush that any little one would love to cuddle with! The fact that it moves and makes sounds will give little ones enjoyment.
