Enjoying Summer With Bean Bag Bazaar

We were sent the beanbag chair for the purpose of review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.

We recently (finally) decided to give our garden a bit of a tidy up and decided to add some bits for the kids out there. Now whilst there has been blazing sunshine, you’d think I would want to sit out there and work in the sun – and you’d be right – but we have no garden furniture.

Our garden is quite small so we don’t have much space when you consider the kids toys so outdoor furniture is a no go – although it is something we hope to have in a future property. What we needed was something super practical that could be taken inside when not in use. Step in the ICON™ Oria Bean Bag Armchair which retails from £69.99.

Jack has already decided that this will be in his room when we move house and he gets a bigger room so that his friends can come round and ‘chill out’. But recently we’ve been using it in both the garden and the living room and dining room.

One thing I will mention straight away is that I struggled to get it looking like an armchair as perfect as it looks on the website. No matter how much I moved it around or fluffed it up, it never quite looked as perfect – although definitely looked better when someone was sat in it. Of course, upon checking the website I found that it said this: The Bean Bag will assume the position shown in the photography when sat in. Phew!

We chose the slate grey colour out of the colours available (sage green, navy, teal, terracotta and mustard) as I thought it was the most practical with children and also more likely to go with most home decor.

The product is suitable for both indoor and outdoor living which is perfect as we have been spending a lot of time in the garden. Everyone in the family has been using it – it is such a great size (dimensions of 98cm length, 97cm width) although I wasn’t quite expecting to be as big as it was, regardless!

The beanbag is made out of 100% polyester and is surface clean only, using mild detergent if necessary. You cannot machine wash, iron, dry clean, tumble dry or bleach.

So what did we think? Well, the beanbag armchair is a large size which makes it perfect for every single member of the family. The colour is practical – it suits most decor and looks great outside. Comfort wise, it is great – I can happily sit out in the garden for ages, working on my laptop whilst the kids run about and play on the slide. The only problem is deciding who gets to use it and when – as we all want to sit on it and relax in the sun!

It is great for extra seating if friends come round too – my sofa is quite big but we always end up with someone sitting on the floor – not anymore with this beanbag armchair! I’m very impressed by the brand, their products are good quality and durable. I’m also very impressed with them as I noticed the other day that the beanbags at Olivia’s playgroups are made by Bean Bag Bazaar too – a testament to their quality and durability as they get thrown around, jumped on and much more by all the kids there!

I’m definitely going to have to get another one when we move as Jack has already claimed this for his bedroom and no doubt Olivia will want one too!

Do you have bean bags in your house?

  1. I was just wondering the other day if my youngest might enjoy a big beanbag chair like that. He needs a place to sit when he’s playing a video game or watching tv.

  2. I have seen a few blog reviews about bean bag bazaar and I am really loving their bean bags. I love the colour of yours, that’s the one I would choose if I bought one

  3. It looks so comfy! I’m not surprised your kiddo wants it in his room – it looks great. We used to have a big garden bean bag chair too, so nice for BBQs etc.
